Definition Of Scally/Chav (Funny)

what do you say to a chav with a job?
"big mac and fries, please"

what do chavs use for protection during sex?
a bus shelter

I'm loving the jokes guys! :P

I hate chavs, alot. I still have scars..... lil bastards.

Ok, they're really annoying but is no-one else somewhat disconcerted by the class fascism going on?

It's not like chavs or the Dandenongites represent their entire class group.

Hell, we only really have two classes here in Oz... the Rich, and everyone else.

Where do you take a chavette on the first date?
Up the arse!

When you say class, are you meaning working class, against the upper class, or something else?
On the news I've heard the word Chav used to describe poor people, but when I talk about townies that isn't what I mean, since townies exist at every "level" of society, though there are more it has to be said in poorer areas, simply because its difficult to break out from that lifestyle when you don't have the money. Or rather, its easier to be something else and to grow up living a different way of life when you have money.

People have been using the word scally around here for a long time, because its what them that are from Liverpool are called when you ask someone from the area(or at least it was). Scouser is more common now though, as scally just means townie nowdays.

No, I'm not saying all scallies/townies (I refuse to use the c-word, unless of course that word is c*nt which is also wonderfully descriptive) are working class, nor am I saying all working class people are scallies. But such is the implied message with this year's obsession and that's what annoys me.
It just seems as if some Telegraph journalist heard their kid use a teenage colloquialism and BAM! We'll use that, we'll sound "cool" AND we can snipe at those dirty dirty peasants. Wonderful.
The whole thing has just seemed to me more and more like a large-scale exercise in re-establishing and heightening class boundaries, definitions and prejudices. It wasn't as if it started ut like that exactly but it's certainly snowballed and now it annoys me no end.
Although I do hold my tongue when I'm in conversation with people who use it. Well, most people.

Right...well I didn't think you were saying they were all poor, I just thought thats what you thought other people thought...Yeah :)
