I would like to defrag my hard drive. Unfortunatly it is a process that will take an extremely long time due to the size of my hard drive. I am using the windows default defrag program but I get the feeling it does not conduct the process as fast as it should, it seems that no matter what my CPU speed is, the amount or RAM, or the read write speed is of my hard drive, the program will always work at the same speed.
Is there another defrag program out there that can work faster and more efficiently? Or am I stuck waiting for 12 hours while my computer defrags.
Oh ya I forgot to mention that I have to defrag in Safe mode, other wise the defrag process will have to constantly start over since it tells me that windows settings have changed and it will have to restart the defrag process. Is there another way I can fix this problem as well?
