Nah, it's pretty much

All my pictures (Including PSD's of artwork)
Needed fraps video and screenshots
Adobe Premier 2.0 CRUCIAL projects
Lots of Downloads, apps, iso's backed up from various games, and cd's
My entire collection of Farthing wood (OMG, ITS GOING TO DIE)

So yeah, lots of stuff that I ****ing need.

You need expensive software or a professional. It can cost a lot, but it's your call whether that info is worth the money to you.

I'd probably just going to have to take it to PC Shopper, they have a tech support.

file_recovery.exe

I like this one because it's completely free. I'm sure it's not the best one...

Type

*.psd

for example, and hit search on the particular drive.

then try

*.jpg

and continue doing that for all missing files (just use asterisk.extension)

anyway, that will at least recover files, but not programs.

You will need to recover them to a second hard drive or partition.

If you don't have that :

you can recover them if you create a folder in your recovery partition. (to access the recovery partition, right click and hit explore, then create the folder there.)

it's best to stop using the drive until recovery is complete, because your drive will overwrite deleted files.

How did you delete the partition accidentally? o____O

50 ****ING PERCENT INTO THE ****ING DRIVE RECOVERY FOR THE ****ING DRIVE, AND VISTA ****ING RESETS ITSELF DUE TO ****ING UPDATES!

I spent my ENTIRE afternoon waiting for this to finish, 5 hours

5 HOURS!

ALL FOR NOTHING!

The reason the Partition was deleted because Windows XP said it was C:/ drive....

but it was actually F:/ drive....

AND OH WISDOM FILLED WINDOWS INSISTS THAT THE 250GB MUST BE ONLY 127GB!
SO I COULDN'T TELL THE OTHER DRIVES APART!

Shit, I feel you man.

so you've got a dual boot XP/Vista and each OS has different drive letters?

You can actually turn off drive letters,

you can right click the drives and name each one something unique (i think you can only do this if you have just formatted it)

Hang in there man. Be patient. And if you can, do it in Safe Mode, lock all outside access.

Good Luck, you really need it. Save the porn for the sake of all mankind.

Post results.

I've got a tipster, mobile number from a guy who can fix me up.
I have to meet him in the alley beside the titty club...
hopefully I leave there with a fixed hdd

and both my kidneys.

I once lost an entire drive because it was repartitioned, merely by booting with the XP installation disk (no service pack) and getting into the setup. I did nothing else, and my 320gb drive turned into an empty drive with a 127gb partition on it. yay..

Ended up buying a legal XP pro license, created a new, shiny installation cd with service pack 3 (on the day the download links leaked), along with a new 750gb drive. Threw away my 80gb IDE and created a 15gb boot partition on my new drive. Everything was good again.

I can't help you with your data recovery though, sorry.

Have you tried putting your hard drive in the freezer?

Disclaimer: This is my attempt at humor, dont try it at home!

Daily back ups of a back up of a back up D:

its much easier to do dual boot on 2 separate drives then partition it.

I got my files back.
Do what you want because a pirate is free. You are a pirate!
