dell memory question

are the two things with no metal plates on them in demension dells (latest model me thinks) not xps just circuit completers or what

should I upgrade from 512rd ram

IS rd ram any good??? nobody uses it!

some games give me slowdown occasionaly like ns, dod, and some ut2k3 mods

i got :

p4 2.4, 512rd ram
radeon 9700 pro
is my grahpics card good... someone told me pro's are slower then non pros cause its data tranfer is slower or something so higher res's can run smooth
 
The radeon 9700 PRO is a GREAT card. It has a higher clock speed than the non-pro version and is better than the non-pro version.
 
Slowdown on DoD? With that system? You must have something running in the background, a virus, or just screwed up components.
 
alittle more info would be needed. Im quessing there samsung or kingston. And speeds maybe around 2100-2700ddr. But i doupt you need more than 512.. maybe some faster ram 3200-3700 if ya got some money to blow.
 
yes, more ram is better :). If u have the cash, the rest of your comp is good, sdo more ram wouldn't be bad.
 
Rambus ram is too costly for the benefits, DDR ram is better and cheaper. I had a computer with RDram and it cost 100$ for one stick of 256 pc800.
