Demomen are constantly spamming nades into your spawn from over the map now. If you get 2-3 of them doing it it can make defending your base almost impossible.

Since you can't actually walk over the map, personally I feel you shouldn't be able to fire over it either.

Opinions?

Yeah, I think it shouldn't be allowed but there are other problems sort of similar to this. Just yesterday I saw a Demoman get over the train cart of cp_well before the start-up timer lapsed. I've also seen Snipers shooting through it too.

Its not really a big problem, just stay out of sniper sight and anyone silly enough to jump over the train almost always gets owned by the group of people waiting the other side.

As for the Demoman nades i'm yet to see it happen, but i assume it would be more of a problem :S

I always love rocketing people waiting right next to the gate in dustbowl.

I think I know what spot your talking about. Where the offenders can shoot over the buildings to your last point where the rocket is? Well, in all honesty, a red demoman can get over on top of the buildings there a bit and shoot nades down on the other team :)

Hah, you did that in one of those games, Pitz. Hilarity.

I like setting the opposing team on fire through the gates on Dustbowl - it's both annoying and fun.

I prefer putting a nice sniper bullet in someone's head before the gates open in the middle section of DB.

It's so satisfying hearing everyone say "WTF HOW DID DAT HAPPEN"

And again, valve needs to clip moar their maps.

It's funny, unless it happens to you.

Once in the second map of Dustbowl a scout was getting ready to rush the cap and I was on the building to the right of the spawn.
I shot a missle right near the hole one the side, and it turned out it was a critical shot. Apparentley he got pretty pissed off after I one hit killed him, especially considering it was my 5th time to kill him so I dominated him.

What is 'clipping' anyway? is that like the invisible walls?

It's 50/50 - I've seen teams get trapped/raped by demospam over the walls and I've seen others brush it off like nothing major and go on to dominate/rape the opposing team.

Personally it doesn't bother me either way. Also if they can shoot over you can shoot back over, so it balances out.

I just realized, Irksome, that you have a badass rig, but your videocard is shit. What happened there, ran out of money to buy a 1950? :p

But on topic, I agree with what you're saying.

I got it for free, plus I didn't feel comfortable spending any more monies so I decided to wait until I had a sizable amount of expendable cash.

In retrospect I think it was a good thing I didn't lay down 300+ doolars on a new video card what not with the, apparently Godlike, 8800GT that just released a week or so ago.

Eh, my 1800xt cost me 140 bucks, and it still plays most games on High :D

I don't see it as a huge issue. Two teams can kill each other during the setup period through gaps in the spawn gate on cp_dustbowl as well. It's easy enough to stay back a bit
