-Come on people. 95% of the facts lead to some sort of delay!
-5% of the facts that don't are "heresay" and unconfirmed.
-The only way there won't be a delay is if Valve releases HL2 over steam, or they already have hundreds of thousands of copies hidden somewhere ready to go. But come on is that realistic? NO Why?
Because Steam cannot handle that and we all know it.
I highly doubt a release without a "gone gold"
Basically we can all bash me for pointing out the obvious like many people have tried to do, and say things like
"Maybe they upgraded steam, and got all the kinks worked out and it will run perfectly fine in 7 days with 500,000 people downloading a gig each off steam".... They can't even get the "Friends" up and running and steam nearly died with errors during the onslaught of 1.6 downloaders!
"Maybe they secretly mass produced millions of boxed copies of half life 2" Well maybe, but I highly doubt it.
Heard of Occam Razor's Theory?
"The simplest explanation for a phenomenon is more likely to be accurate than more complicated explanations"
Now do we think Half life 2 is simply delayed?
Cheers
