Some of us have seen videos of people being killed. While you sit back and watch the video, it doesnt strike you very much because violence in movies has desensitized us. But it's much different when you see it in person.

I was driving home from work today on the bus, listening to music and not paying attention to anything. As I was stopping at one of the bus stops (I was behind a bus), a girl in the back started screaming. I looked out my window and saw her pointing out the window, and I followed her stare. Out on the sidewalk were 3 guys. Two of them standing, one of them was on the ground bloody. The taller of the two men had a baseball bat and was about ready to smash it into his head again, when they realized a whole busload of college kids were looking at them. As the bus driver radioed in the 911 call the other man, who hadnt been doing anything, took a pistol out of his pocket and shot the guy in the head. At this point the whole bus was in shock and glued to the morbid scene. The two men got into a car and sped off. When I came home I was visibly shaken. I called my mom and told her what I had just seen. Then all of a sudden my mom got scared, she said "You're moving with your Auntie and Uncle in Bel-Air." I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said "Fresh" and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought "Nah, forget it, Yo homes, to Bel-Air!" I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabby, "Yo homes, smell ya later!" I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.

Nice (the Prince of Bel-Air part), love that show.

I'm definetley sure that any of us would be shaken by stuff like that happening in real life. I mean when I (and most of us) play video games we consciously know that it's not happening in real life, as for us that dont consciously know that, well, that's where the guy who kills people in real life then blames it on violent video games comes from (that could just be a big ass lie which has taken a toll on society but works in the criminal's favor slightly because we kinda don't really know if that's true).

As Deathmaster said, pretty much anyone would be shaken by that, hell, I was disgusted by Elfen Lied(if anyone has seen that, if not, it's an anime with quite a lot of violence)

So did that actually happen, or is the whole point of this thread to make some obscure joke?

Is it this time of the month again?

Old copypasta is ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooold. Lurk MOAR.

Games and movies haven't desensitized me from violence on video, seeing real people get killed for real still makes me sick for a couple of day's, and those disgusting gore pics.

Surprisingly I wasn't really disturbed by that (Thought it had pretty awesome animation though), but I get disgusted by films such as Kill Bill (Couldn't watch it all the way through, because for one it was pretty disgusting, and two, Lucy Liu dies :(). also I'm not a fan of gory Live Action films if they're done well. I never ever want to watch the SAW series for that reason.

Strangely though, it's not the scaryness that 'frightens' me, it's just the gore. I happily sat through The Ring (American) which is meant to be scary, and was lol'ing all through it while my older sister was hiding. So it's weird.

Yeah I know what you mean, gore ftl :x

I have sent countless soldiers to death and have had countless more dying at my hands in computer games yet the thought of actually killing someone freaks me out and even terrifies me.

ahahahahhaa...oh my god you honestly almost made me piss my pants with that last part LMAO!!!

Crazy Horse you are a rip off artist. I have read similar Prince of Bel-Air stories in the past. But it's ok, I am sure a lot of us haven't so it can still be amusing. You know what's the problem with your post? That big smiley at the end. It was a dead give away from the moment I opened up this thread that you weren't being serious.

response to title: seeing it in movies is fine. im desensitised to that. but seeing someone's life end in a video is just chilling.
also, i dont get it

I hadnt seen this before, so I loled. Funny stuff.

This is the point where all the /b/tards make the XD face, and everyone else is like "wtf".

So...
XD

Desensitized to violence? Plausible.

Desensitized to death? If you think you really are, go watch the documentary Dying At Grace.

One of my friends actually posted it on his livejournal, and I found it hilarious enough to share. I don't know if he wrote it or got it from somewhere.

Poor writing skills are made up for by Fresh Prince joke.

You're breaking rule one, you fools.

You don't talk about 4chan, desu.

Anonymous is watching this thread now. -_- Enjoy your pasta.

Anyone else love /d/?

It's a personal fave. Along with Gurochan. So, I guess that shows where I stand on the whole violence thing.

...eww.

And yeah, there's some f*cking awful shit in /b/, but there's also some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen. S

Thank you 4chan.

Today morning my parents had a call. The forum you know as "Halflife2.net" wanted to kill itself and is in hospital now. It will die in one or two days.

**** YOU ALL for this I knew this forum FOR REAL over years. I was never so sad in my life before. Guys do you not realise that this is for real? Thats not fun in the realtity a REAL forum DIE because of 4chan.

I hope so all 4chan assholes burn in hell for ever. Thank you 4chan for killing one of my bookmarks. I think this will bring consequences to 4chan.

This is my wish.

So, since this turned into a 4Chan thread, I'm going to dump my 4Chan image folder.

Actually, this is about 5% of my folder. My 4Chan folder is like 5GB and I didn't feel like crashing the forums.

I am crying. Literally.

In the best way imaginable.
