Crabcakes is right, The desert eagle was created in the united states, hence it is an american gun. However, only isreal uses it for the army.
 
Damn, mods can delete this. It was meant as a reply to another post but I hit the wrong button.
 
hopefully there wont be a deagle in HL2. well we know there wont be but maybe theyll pick some new guns for CS2 or whatever. they need to bring in twice as many this time around.
 
Oh god no! Have you ever played the game SoF2? In DM first one to get the grenade launcher usually wins. Not fun at all.
 
Lmao this desert eagle thing we started is getting big! Oh and yeah the DE better be in CS2 and Yes HL2 USP is BADASS!

I like how HL2 uses guns that aren't included in EVERY SINGLE FPS, like the m16, mp5's, deagles.

It's nice to see some fresh new weapons, some that aren't even in production yet (m29).
 
Hmmm... let's not all be CS n00bies and call the damn gun a Deagle. It's a Desert Eagle.
 
they actually make smaller caliber gun called the "Baby Eagle."
 
the desert eagle is not a very effective weapon... its extremely loud, hard to fire accurately, small clip... they have bullets for .45's that are ap, so why do you need a pistol that fires .50 rounds? its just silly.

fun to shoot though :D
 
Hang on... IMI, who I believe manufacture the Desert Eagle, stands for Israeli Military Industries doesn't it? Does that not mean it is manufactured in Israel therefore making it an Israeli gun?

So you could say its from either the USA or Israel, and you'd probably be right. It may have been initially designed in the US, Israel liked it and bought the designs or whatever and then they refined it to how we know the Desert Eagle today. Or i may be completely wrong :)

Ive been saying that even since i joined these forums....but there are alot of l33t CS players that diasagree, so watch your ass. :p
 
damn, i wanna shoot a deagle... is it any fun? how much is one?
 
why? its overall a not so good gun.

And I have shot guns before i dont find it that fun. Gets boring fast unless your shooting at real people. Thats not legal though.

biggest handguns ive shot are a .45 and a .357 magnum .....

The .357 hurts like bitch if you dont grip it right. ...so i imagine the .50 isnt any better.

Well, they both have 7 rounds so, that's why to ME the M1911-A1 is like an equivilent-except a bit better.(Duh!)

Im trying to say that shooting at cans and bricks with any gun does get boring. (well for me atleast)

The 1911 is an awsome, effective weapon, witch has been proven over the last 100 years.

I dont see how the fact that the .50 DE has a 7 round mag.....makes it equivalent.

try shooting old appliances... :) that never gets boring.

I have a solution! Just buy a paintball or airsoft gun (airsoft guns are like BB guns except they shoot plastic instead of metal BBs) and shoot anyone you want!
