By the way when I was in transit in Amsterdam the other day, there were these leaflets lying around in the coffee shops advertising a store in the Airport... Now the funny thing is it says (anyone who speaks dutch can translate I don't know what it really says):

"Nepwapens Zijn Geen SOUVENIRS" with pictures of a colt pistol, a colt rifle, and a desert eagle and on the back glocks and sauer sigs or whatever... One gun even has a price tag of 270 euros! It's funny that they're actually selling replicas in an airport! lol :0

I think it'd be funny to go deer hunting with dual Desert Eagles. I don't think that there would be any deer left after you are done killing it....

a .22 is basically an m-16 round, although an m-16 is longer
 
I didnt read any of this but the first post, so dont flame me, but if im not mistaken, which i probably am, i thought the Desert Eagle was originated in Isreal, Magnum Research incorp makes it now. I recently bought a 9mm Baby Eagle.

yea...um...not really. I have an AR-15 which is the same thing as an m16, just the civilian model. It fires 5.56mm rounds....which is a lot bigger and longer than a .22. A lot FATTER and a lot LONGER....so dont say crap when you have no idea what your talking about....

Let me shoot you with my little .22, then let me shoot you with my AR-15....yea, i think you will know after that.

yea, iv seen those things up close. They look really cool. Just like the walther p99? (or something) that is in the new 007 movies. Though id rather have a higher caliber pistol i would definitly buy one of those, just because it looks pretty cool, and i heard they were cheap.
 
yes, they look very similar to the P99, which i prolly would have rather had, but i got this gun for $180 instead of $280, so i had to take it. It was brand new too. The P99 runs about $500 something, they are nice guns, very cheap to shoot (.22). Leet stuff.

Couple things. First the Desert Eagle is a damn good gun for what it does. Its meant for hard targets and long range target shooting. You can snipe with it, clean a room with it, and its a good all around gun. I own two, a mark I and a Mark XIX so i know what im talking about from experience. They need work, out of the box with the factory rust coating it wont work well. Clean it, oil it, and break it in and it will perform beautifully.

I also own a spas-12 and im rather annoyed they didnt make it a semi automatic. Yes it can function as a pump shotgun but thats only when using low power rounds like beanbags. Going into combat the semi-auto function would be used and it can dump all 8 shells in about 2 seconds. (not claiming with any degree of accurac though.)
 
Why are people so obsessed with guns?
People only need guns if they're police or military or something along those lines. USA gun laws are the most retarded in the world.

Nice to hear somone who sounds like they know what they are talking about.

Its still hard for me to believe a .50DE is an effective weapon.

Although ive read and heard the recoil on a .357 magnum is worse.... only shot a 357 once and my wrist was a little sore afterwards.

I suppose if you live out in the sticks, shooting empty cans or a busted copymachine can be fun. I can even imagine people getting a hardon because the shiny finish on their new Raging Bull looks so great.

But what else is there? As far as i know guns and ammo are quite expensive (dunno about ammo tho really), and there's so much cooler stuff out there to spend your hard earned money on.

Like a 256mb 9800Pro for example :)

Well I do currently live in the stix....well not really but i could drive for 30 minutes and be out there.

As far as getting a boner over anything but a woman......not gonna happen. I said guns can be fun......not that i am a crazy gun fanatic. I dont even own a gun.

theres a differance bettween a raging bull looking sexy and sex.

Real guns are no more expensive than paintball.....and the ammo is cheaper....by alot.

Dont knock target shooting untill you have tried it :)
 
I wasn't aiming at you specifically with my last post Crabcakes,
but i was talking about some of the crazy gun fanatics, as you call them.
I know there's a diff between a gun looking sexy and sex.
But you have to agree with me when i say that there are people out there who have trouble seeing this difference.

As for the ammo, im quite surprised to hear that paintballammo is more expensive than the firearm kind. That just sounds very odd to me, although i'll believe you when you say so.

I'm not knocking targetshooting, because like i said, i can imagine it being fun for a while. Even done some of myself with a BB-gun.

As for the gunlaws i mentioned earlier...

In a country with such a high crimerate, lots of firearm-involved murders, highschool, snipershootings etc etc etc, isn't it just ridiculous to allow every citizen to bear arms? Keep pointing at videogames, movies and whatnot, but lets be honest here - taking away people's rights to have firearms would solve LOTS and LOTS of problems. I'm not saying it's THE solution, but it would definately help people look at other methods to resolve their "issues".

BTW if my posts seem incoherent or something, my apologies for English isn't my native language. I'm trying my best tho :)
