Just to continue the pervy tangent, I wonder how ai would react to Alyx doing the splits.

That would be so cool if you could shoot out lights and force the Combine soldiers to use flashlights. Would make for a great stealth mod if it's not allready in the game.
 
how about a splinter cell multiplay with dead or alive breast movement where a group of thieves must successfully steal something or kill someone without striking the alarm.
 
realisticly female warriors/fighters tape there breasts so they dont get in the way of combat or remain a sensitive area

man that sucks, if Lara Croft tape her breast, many of us won't play tomb raider, unless she's taping her breast in the game and show it to us.
 
Wow... to get this thread back on track, HL1 had "dynamic" lights in that they could turn on/off or brighten and dim in a pattern (though not both, oddly enough). So, if you had a lightbulb func_breakable target an on/off light entity, you could make shoot-out-able lights. No lights could *move*, however, unless they were the horribly fake, no-shadow flashlight-type dynamic lights (like the glow that rockets give off.)

I dunno what kind of dynamic shadows HL2 will have, though. I'd assume there's some sort of dynamic lighting engine that works on both world and entities, but I really don't know, and am just guessing. So there :p

That is a myth. Cause oddly enough, on all ancient drawings/pottery/whatever of people fighting amazons, they are quite intact :)

Ok... back to the destructable light source bit of the thread....(the real topic here).. I don't mind if they have them or not. I don't plan to use it unless it's part of the plot. I always prefer a good firefight to sneaking around and capping people in the back of the head.

2nd of all...Splinter Cell multiplayer? What the hell? A bunch of people sneaking around a darkened map, just waiting... Then someone comes, they crack them in the back of the head, and they lose? Seems lame to me. The gun battles in Splinter Cells weren't that good mainly because that's not what you were supposed to do. A bunch of Sam Fischers creeping around a map trying to kill eachother isn't my idea of fun.

3rd of all... back to the light sources. If you do hit the lights and the enemies can't see you coming, what do you do when you sneak up behind them? Just shoot them all 1 by 1 in the back of the head? That'd ruin the fun of the whole FPS action of it. I can imagine it now.
Ok...shoot the lights, sneak around, cap cap cap... next area. Boring.

I prefer gunfights like the barricade video. That was tight. Now I like the earlier idea of combine having flashlights. That'd be awesome. It'd make for some really cool looking fights.

And as for the whole boob-physics aspect of HL2....who cares? If you're that horny.... go look at porn with real chicks...jeez

First of all, u said hitman style killing is not fun, it's just your tiny opinion (otherwise no one buy the hitman series which is the mix of hitman style and fps). Second of all, I never said that people must kill each other in splinter cell style multiplay, seemingly u don't have any imagination, all u can think of is killng each other in dm or team dm. they could be working in a group, sneaking around, avoiding alarm stuff, accomplishing the objective (e.g. infiltrate in a building and steal something guarding by the us.army); the guard (the ennemy) can be either ai or human. The guards have heavy and lethal weapons, the thieves have only pistol or knife but with many physical skills which could help them to avoid being detected or to murder the ennemy. In fact, all i want to know is whether the light bulb can be destroyed in hl2 and whether the ai can react to that, since valve said that the world of hl2 is very interactive. Concerning the boob-physics, u said:"who cares", once again it's just ur ****ing tiny opinion. Games is a lot about simulation, they try to similate life, environment, animal, human, we should be glad to see Alyx's boob move like the real woman's boob, cuz it tells us that the simulation is getting better. It's art, it's not porn, u dirty shit.
