I don't fully agree...I think it depends on the individual at times...Some people aren't as strong willed and can't give things up "cold-turkey", these are the people that need some help.

The fact is, there IS legitimate evidence that gaming can be addictive. Take me, for example... while I've never been anywhere NEAR as bad as those kids, there've been times where I... where I just couldn't stop playing. I'm getting much better, and I think part of it is just growing up, but still.

You and I share a lot of opinions.

I have to agree. I find myself less and less inclined to stay up past 5am to get a little further in a game. I find myself wanting more to do something else than play the same game for 8 hours straight.
 
Exactly. It's funny, it used to be in ups and downs... until I got Oblivion. Then I'd say I hit rock bottom. I racked up over 60 hours in a week :|

After a few weeks of complete disregard for all things non-digital, I realized how much living like that sucked. Things have been better since.
