man, how come today's videogame developpers don't care about the online portion of the game, they need to understand that the multiplay mode is what makes people to buy the game.

I buy games for singleplayer, multiplayer is a bonus for me.

Anyways, it is getting frightfully expensive to create a Triple A PC Game. Including a great single player game and a great multiplayer component is almost impossible now because of financial reasons. Even Valve isn't do a full blown multiplayer, they are re-using CS.

I feel sorry for you that you think that the only fun (and worth buying) are games that have a strong multiplayer component.

I'm not saying that single mode isn't fun. I'm talking about pirating games. People can simply download games from some sites and play the single mode with crack and fake cd-keys if the game doesn't offer online multiplay which checks the validity of the cdkey like cs.

Deus Ex 2 is completely the wrong game for multiplayer. DE2 and DE are both story linear, choice making RPGs that have nothing to do with multiplayer, were never intended to have multiplayer and were never expected to have multiplayer. Multiplayer Deus ex would be crap, it just doesnt have the right engine for MP, not only that but it would have taken about 6 months to make and it would have been appauling...

There was/is a mod for DE1 that did multiplayer i believe...

It wasn't a mod, Deus Ex 1 got multiplayer in an official patch

I'd love to play a Online version of DE:IW.. Guess I will when the Matrix Online comes out.
