What a ridiculous comment. I can't make a game, but that didn't stop me from recognizing Daikatana as an overhyped piece of trash. I can't make a car, but I know a death trap when I see one. I may not be the world's best musician, but I can identify a band as watered-down mainstream bullshit. The inability to create something is not intertwined with the ability to judge something.
These complaints aren't just because some things are "different". It's because they're subpar and backwards if not on their own, then compared to the original.
