Never played a Dues Ex.
Oh, no doubt, stacked up against the original it'll be a dissapointment. The best I hope for with sequels like this being made by another dev is that they'll find a way to stick out on their own merits. 90% of the time when they try to make it too similar to the original game they **** it up and piss off most of the original fanbase. But then again being too different could be bad too... I can already hear people saying "why even call it Deus Ex?"I am still uber skeptical when it comes to DX3. I'm, like, 70% sure it's going to be a disappointment.
You may have already seen it (it's in our IW thread), but Harvey Smith himself admitted that the modern-day element of Deus Ex was a critical element and that Invisible War's setting was complete rubbish.Great. Factory doesn't look too futuristic. I hope it will be prequel for the first DEx or at least DEx IW.
Stephane D'Astou took advantage of his trip to (emission? wtf) M.net in Montreal to present the first image ever of Deus Ex 3, of which the production is well underway in the new studios of the canadian metropole. The image is a concept image of a large space that seems to be a laboratory. " These concepts help our artists visualize the setting in which want to place Deus Ex 3. ", says David Anfossi, producer of the project. "We've contacted the original concept artists of the previous versions to really portray the direction we've taken", he adds. The pressure is great on the young Montreal studio, especially since the cuts by the big Eidos bosses in England some weeks ago. In the interview, the two representants of the Montreal studio were rather tight-lipped about details concerning Deus Ex 3. "On Youtube, our fans have analysed the first video, image per image. They've worked hard.", Stephane D'astou says with a smile.
There still has been no release date set at the moment.
I've recently started playing deus ex again, i really wish it had auto saves since i keep dying =(
Why are people so happy about a drawing of a generic lab?
The second game's endings basically ****ed up any hope at a good story without picking a single one (which would kind of suck).
God forbid you ever tried to stack anything and climb it.
Yeesh.
