So, how the hell do they top season 2?
I think season 2 was a good way to end, and even thou i love the show Dexter, i don't really think they can top that.

But anyway what's your opinion on season 3 so far?

I haven't seen it, but it's probably worth mentioning that the first episode has in fact leaked, so no one get up and run to your TV's or anything. I'm saying this because from looking around the Internet thus far everyones been pretty taken back by it's sudden appearance. I knew a third season was on it's way but I had no idea it was anywhere near to showing, yet alone leaking.

The end of the first episode introduced an interesting potential arc for Season 3.

My brother told me I should check out this series, yay?

It's a pre-air leak. Pre-airs are sent to around for previews and reviews, it's quite common for them to find their way on the internet these days. I'm waiting for official release, cus if I downloaded now I'd have to wait a month till episode after. That would make me ****ing snap.

Big fan of the first two seasons, though I felt the second went a bit downhill towards the end. Won't say why, but people who saw it will know what I'm on about. I hope the third takes it back to it's heights.

DeeDee comes back and wrecks his lab again for season 3.

Started watching the first DVD from Netflix but it was all scratched to shit and I couldn't bother getting it sent back to me so I put it off.
I think I'll give it another go, it had an interesting enough premise.

I don't have showtime so I'm netflixing the season 2 DVDs. Outstanding so far.

Slightly off-topic: The first two Dexter books are outstanding, but you may want to skip the third one.

That sucks. The first two books are among my favourites and yet oddly enough the third book is just sitting on a shelf staring at me... waiting for me to read it. But I never do.

Gonna buy the S1 boxset soon I think, never sawed it.

S2 was fantastic but the opening to S3 seems like it can lead down an interesting path so I'm pretty satisfied so far.

Dexter is the product of an evil mythical God worshipped by cults or some shit.

EDIT: Added spoiler tags even though I don't think anybody gives a shit.

Yea, what absinthe said.

The tone and style are similar to the first book, so that's good, but the plot is completely uninteresting for me other than:
Cody developing as a killer

Good episode. Only show that I know of that has genuinely tense scenes.

I lol'd hard at:

-What's her name?
-I dunno... bitch, ****, hey you!
-*girl on the couch*...yeah?

I had been expecting that
Miguel was going to take the fall for Dexter this season
but now I'm not so sure.

The shit with
Camilla(spelling?)
is surprisingly good too.

Also, go go
Deb the supercop

Only thing I don't find very credible about this season is that

Miguel hasn't figured out that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher. I mean, it should be pretty obvious, no? Especially because I'm sure Maria has told Miguel her doubts about Doakes being guilty of it. Or perhaps he has figured it out and we don't know that yet. I'm sure he wouldn't like Dexter any less because of it.

Other than that, great season that manages to not be more of the same.

That's a good point. Miguel could be keeping it to himself for now, or neglecting what Maria said because of the terms they are on.

I also think that Miguel is under the impression that Dexter hasn't done this many times. Like "You killed Freebo, that was so cool. I'll set you up to kill this guy. Sweet that worked. Let's BE SUPERHEROES." He doesn't know Dexter's past like we do.

And yes, this show is ****ing amazing at not being repetitive.

I'm only up to episode 4 of this season, how many have been aired so far?

I loved Season 2, I've been slacking in keeping up with S3 so far because I prefer to watch shows after the entire season is already available.

DAMN, what a great episode.

And the ending... o_O

One of the good things about this series is that it maintains a good balance between making you eagerly await a new episode and not getting you frustrated that some particular part of the plot is unnecessarily dragged on for a few episodes.

Great episode.

But I can't figure out why they didn't just follow George King around when they released him? Storywise I do of course, but it doesn't make any real life sense. Also, Deb was a bit emotionally inconsistent with uncontrollable rage one moment and all normal acting the next. Shame about Ellen, I liked her but it did give an awesome turn to the season, especially the very last bit. The body of Ellen was somehow very gruesome to watch, still intact but very disturbing. Also enjoyed Dexter still being the pro in this and seeing him teach Miguel a lesson. Lol @ Dexter hulking out too, for a second there I bought it.

I think season 3 is better than season 2 so far, agree?

Great episode indeed.

I thought that the ending of the previous episode was falsely indicating as to what's going to happen, but Miguel actually did it. I'm guessing Dexter will kill him in the end now. BTW what emotion do you think Dexter was speaking of at the end of the episode? Hate?

LOLed at the last part:
-MIGUEEEEEEEEEL!
-Nine holes tomorrow?
-You bet!

Not sure if the season is better than the previous one, but it's definitely not worst.

I thought it was anger. Dexter's lashing out, even only in his head, isn't something that we've ever seen before. He's judgemental and careful and righteous. Anger and feelings don't enter into it.

Season 3 is definitely better than 2 in my opinion. Season 1 wins for the sheer amount of mystery that it had going on, but yes. I love this show.

Awesome. Season 1 and 3 for sure.
Ending was intense.

Looks like Miguel was playing him the entire time. He sure pissed off Dexter. That rage is boiling inside of him. Judging from the preview,Miguel will be blackmailing him. That's not something that you should be doing to a serial killer. "Do I see sheets of plastic in your future?"

Now that I think of it:
What exactly was the significance of the cow blood shirt? When Dexter touched Miguel after killing Freebo, he really did leave a stain of Freebo's blood on Miguel's shirt. So why did Miguel give Dexter the wrong shirt then? I'm missing something.

Miguel said it was Freebo's blood and gave Dexter the shirt as proof of his goodwill and trust, because it would implicate him in Freebo's murder... but since it's cow blood, Miguel was and has been lying, and Dexter doesn't like being manipulated. Looks like the next episode or two is gonna be intense, I figure Dexter is going to either kill Miguel or set him up like he was going to do Doakes.

I shall return to this thread once I've watched the latest episode. Loving it so far!
