That was a horrible ending to the show. Worse than the rest of the season because of what a cop-out it was. I'd have preferred if he died, but what the **** was that?

Honestly, they should have just left the lumberjack thing completely out. I get that they wanted to leave it open because that's what's good for business but to be honest, we never saw Dexter specifically die in the storm anyway.
He should have sailed off, Hannah thought he was dead and if they wanted to make a movie or a spin-off or whatever, they could have easily just explained that he faked his death when it came to that.
