Especially when they said earlier that they wouldn't make it for consoles. Sell outs.
So? It's not exactly the most complex game, should work okay if they make a few tweaks. I highly, highly doubt Blizzard would gimp the PC version to accommodate consoles, given their zealous fanbase.
Because it's impossible to have one control scheme on the PC and another on an Xbox amirite? Remember when Red Alert 3 came out on the 360 and the PC version changed the control scheme so you couldn't use the mouse to select units or use the menus?Hack and Slash has been on consoles forever...
However that probably says something about the way the control scheme will work on PC. I feel like it won't be click to move/attack/do everything anymore... or at least it will only be an option.

Hack and Slash games like Baldur's Gate
like Baldur's Gate
Well I thought that it was supposed to be a cross-platform multiplayer? If you have one side with a varied set of inputs then it might offer an unfair advantage... the same way they can't come close to matching up mouse and keyboard and console controller FPS games. Granted this is a much different scenario, but I assume the gameplay will reflect a significant change for the original '10,000 click' interface to a more button-mashing type thing similar to what World of Warcraft does. It seems like they've shifted the gameplay to be more like that as well. Hack and Slash games like Baldur's Gate and Gauntlet had very simple control schemes. I think that it will be somewhere in between that style and World of Warcraft. Something where primary attacks will be set to various buttons that you can switch, kind of like how you have multiple attacks for 1-9 in WoW. That's just what I think anyways...
Of course if it's not cross-platform play online then it won't matter. It'd be awesome to see the first cross platform multiplayer come from blizzard though.
I don't think you know Blizz fans very well. Or Blizzard.Except the fanbase is zealous enough that Blizzard could literally drop a steaming turd into their open waiting mouths and as long as /dance emotes were present they'd happily chew, swallow and proclaim it delicious.
Uhh... based on what?Well I thought that it was supposed to be a cross-platform multiplayer?
What?

Haha, you can have that one. Sparkle horse was ****ing stupid.
Didn't stop them making a cool million from an afternoon's worth of modeling, though. :|
Open Console Positions
11-15-2010
We’re exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles and are currently looking to fill a few senior console-related positions on the Diablo III team. As we’ve said in the past, with proper care the gameplay could suit the console platform, and we’re interested in seeing what talent out there might be interested in such a project. If you’re passionate about all things Diablo and have the requisite skill and experience, then head over to our jobs site to check out the positions and apply.
Please note that this is not an announcement of a console title. We are first and foremost developing Diablo III for Windows and Mac PCs and don’t intend to allow any possibility of a console interpretation to delay or affect the release of the game.
I think there was a console hack'n'slash as part of the Baldur's Gate franchise.
Let's hope they actually stick to their word...Blizzard posted this on the Diablo 3 site.
What?
Garbage.
Uhh... based on what?
Man, all these predictions of the control scheme changing are kind of hilarious.
Actually, I was being quite conservative.Probably less than that. They took the rig from Invincible and applied the Algalon skin to it.
