Blizzard will also use the BlizzCon event to introduce Diablo 3 to gamers and if the excitement of Blizzard employees is anything to go by, the game will be a big deal. According to a message sent to WoW Guru by former Blizzard employee Chris Hartgraves, Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking ... Imagine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell ... Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability ... Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it. They should have a gameplay demo to show at BlizzCon.

I've been using the site for several years and I have not noticed any news that was incorrect so I think it should be reliable.

F*CK YEAH!!!! I cant wait to see it! Man, I loved diablo, and diablo 2, i just hope they give it better graphics this time!
 
if it's true then it's indeed good news ..though it probably wont come out for a little while

It's reckognizable if a game is multi-platform rather than being solely for PC.

And by the way, I don't know whether to beleive that, I don't see why they would get insider news and not IGN per say.
 
I hope htey dont use these crappy modern 3d styled graphics like dungeon siege 2, and warcraft 3, etc. THey're just awful. I prefer higher resolution 2d graphics than those.

More polygons, supreme resolution textures is the way to go.

too bad, I'll never be able to play it, because is JUST HAD A ****ING HEART ATTACK READING THIS NEWS! oh man, diablo 2 is the best game ever, imo... and now, a sequel! and it sounds awesome, from this one paragraph we get... a-haha!
 
Wow wow wow, Diablo 3 was not unveiled and I wouldn't get too excited if I were you guys. I looked up "Diablo 3" and all I found were rumors. I wouldn't entirely depend on some secondary-source that most people don't even know about.
 
We should find out tomorrow if this is true or not. I believe they plan on unveiling it at the end of the BlizzCon event which I think is tomorrow.
 
I very much doubt it will be at Blizzcon. So far, everything about the WoW expansion was leaked before it was revealed today, so I very much doubt they'll unviel Diablo 3 sieeng as we haven't even heard rumours. Plus, I think the WoW expansion is enough for one Blizzcon, don'tcha think?

Also, is it just me, or does the whole "heaven" thing seem really crap? I know Diablo centres around heaven and hell rather strongly, but actually setting the game in heaven is ridiculous.
 
True.

On the other hand, they might make Heaven and Hell sort of "hub worlds" where players are safe, and then Earth acts as the no-man's-land in between.

I'd much rather have Starcraft over Diablo. It seemed to have ended at the end of Lords of Destruction. Starcraft on the other hand, has so much going for it. Starcraft Ghost isn't even done yet, is it? I kinda want to play that, even though those kinds of games aren't my forte. I'm up for ANYTHING Starcraft.
 
well Diablo3 would be welcome news as far as im concerned.
i don't play MMORPG's so im kinda tired of the WOW stuff.

A new Diablo game is good... However I wish they would focus their talent on a new Starcraft.

I don't doubt Diablo 3 will be amazing, I just wish we had Starcraft 2 first. ;(

they need to expand their staff me thinks.
for a company with so many successful titles, it seems like they employ fewer people.

now i don't pretend to know Blizzard..hell maybe they do have enough staff to work on all the titles.. but damn it sure takes forever.
 
I'd prefer few top quality titles to many average quality titles.

If you have the perfect talent to create the game and it takes because of it, 5 years to develop, then why pick more of the lesser talent to work on your game and get it completed in 3 years. I rather have good talent and artists working on a game then more lesser quality artists
 
Am I the only one that knows ANYTHING?
1) We still don't know if this is true

2)Blizzard is made up of 2+ COMPANIES. They are in 2+ diffrent buildings.
-Blizzard HQ makes Wc's, Sc's etc...
-Blizzard North makes Diablo's
-The newly console division that Blizzard bought at E3(Swingin Ape Studios), who is making Sc:G. They also have there own building.

I'll wait till i see more proof/official confirmation before i celebrate.. and remember that just because they're making D3 it doesn't mean they can't make sc2 at the same time
 
Is ghost supposed to follow the storyline after brood wars or is it set during the first game?

Obviously if anyone would take one look at my post or new one thing about Blizzard you would know that :).

Oringally a company named Condor was going to make Diablo, it was oringally going to be a turn by turn game, then Blizzard and Condor joined togeather, thus forming Blizzard North(Condor's Building was above Blizzard HQ's). Condor works on RPG's and such while HQ does the RTS's. Now with swingin apes they have a 40+ man console division with there own building near Blizzard. Blizzard North also was moving there building(or getting a new building) closer to HQ recently.

I wouldn't be suprised if that was true. Considering I know everything about Diablo Pre-History, and the main thing around Diablo is Hell vs Heaven not Hell vs Mortals.
I know the history of diablo, why Diablo Ball and Meph were sent to the mortal world, why everything :). Plus the oringal D1 manual to clarify everything.

Note: Until you see it on Blizzard.com or Battle.net it is just a rumor.
 
Why were the 3 prime evils sent to the mortal world? Those bastards ****ed everything up!
