Not surprising, SCII will require a lot more fine tuning and a hefty amount of time in the alpha/beta stages for testing. Wouldn't want to let down the Koreans.

Doesn't sound very plausible. D3 was just announced and the only work on SC2 the last couple of months has been balancing, since the game is basically done.

How reliable do you think that rumor is?

I played the original Starcraft a little when it first came out & except for the cutscenes, (which I thought were great) I did not really care for the game all that much. Then again, i'm not the biggest RTS fan, so in light of that, I hope that D3 does get released first.
