DICE: death of PC claim is ‘bullshit’

I really can't stand those meaningless claims, it doesn't say anything about how the PC version of BF3 will turn out

They sold BC2 with claims like 'dedicated servers', '32-player MP' and 'dx11-exclusive features' and it all turned out to be a laggy, consolized piece of junk that requires a more inefficient DirectX version to enable some graphics features. The dedicated servers were meaningless because there were so little customization options(ie to increase the network packet rate for less laggy MP(like Source games) on fast connections or disable snipers)

Seriously, that "article" was just a dude going "Nah bro, PC gaming isn't dead. We're releaseing BF3 on pc!"

He doesn't make any good points, in fact, he makes no points at all. I mean, I agree with general sentiment, and I'm sure hes got a lot of good ideas, but whoever though those quotes would make a decent article needs to go back to journalism school.

PC gaming dead? Has anyone seen those Farmville games or Popcap statistics? Casual Gaming is on the rise for PC and Hardcore gaming still seems to be prevalent with games like TF2, WoW, COD, and a few other big hitters.

Yeah, take that people who are still saying PC gaming is dead!

All five of you!

All the devs will crawl out the woodwork and support PC Gaming now that it has been revealed that they are 20% more profitable than last year. So ****ing predictable.

Would Starcraft 2 still suffer the fate of that gif?

No, if for no other reason than I don't want to anger Koreans and have a real life Homefront happen.

I hope you purposely referenced that game to troll.

For the uninitated: no, Starcraft 2 (multiplayer) is not casual.

For the Warped: please, just stop buying games. Or thinking about games. Or breathing.

Starcraft 2 is one of the most hardcore, isn't it?

It probably has the highest skillcap of any game ever, so yes.

bah,I will make a pc game so hardcorezz! that if you lose you will DIE in real life!

now thats Ub3rhardcorexxx!!1

They made a movie about that, but I didn't watch it. I think it was called Gamer, which would be the best title for a video game ever. Just imagine buying a game called 'Gamer' and thinking to yourself, "I wonder how long it took for them to come up with that name." That would be the greatest.

It's scary that people do that D:

I tried to do it with Railworks 2, sticking to the speed limits on the track and stopping at the assigned stations; the trip took 1 hour 30 minutes, and I'll tell you what

It was ****ing shit crap boring, fortunately I din't spend much money on it

Reminds me of an idea I had for ArmA about a persistent game where when you went to bed or whatever your player would rest, and your friends in other timezones would be up defending the camp etc.

That is ridiculously ****ing cool, in theory

of course I have neither the time or dedication to do something like it - still it's ****ing awesome.

Yeah and you could program your beeper to alert you when your base was under attack in case you needed to leave in the middle of an important meeting.

uh... sorry.. guys my uh... wife went into labor

co-worker: Jeff's been divorced for four years, some dispute over a submarine game
