Did a plane hit the pentagon....(video)

I think it's been posted here quite a few times, but yeah it's very interesting. Made me wonder abit what really happened.

ya that video is cool but a plane really did hit the building, i was in Washington DC this summer and I took a taxi and the driver told me he was sitting in traffic and actually heard the plane fly over and saw it hit the pentagon... he said it was crazy

-merc

as far as i know, yes, one did. the mother of a friend of mine worked in a building across from the pentagon, and actually saw the plane hit it (from more-or-less the opposite side). i have no reason to discount her recollection.

Sounds like the starting of a HL2 release date speculation thread :P

It was not, however, a 747. Pictures taken day of clearly show little to no damage on the grounds preceeding the Pentagon and on the Pentagon itself. A good friend of mine is an aeronautical engineer at Boeing and has shown me pictures of what 747's do to the earth and buildings upon impact.

Whatever hit the Pentagon wasn't a 747.

It wasn't a 747. It was a 757.

I'm too tired to deal with conspiracy theorists tonight.

Whoops - Sorry. Here are some facts about 757's.

  • At 255,000 pounds (115,660 kilograms), the 757 weighs as much as a diesel train locomotive.
  • The surface area of a pair of 757 wings is 1,951 square feet (181 square meters), about the same as the floor space of a three-bedroom house in the U.S.
  • There are about 626,000 parts in a 757. About 600,000 bolts and rivets fasten those parts together. The length of all wires in the twinjet is about 60 miles (100 km).
  • The 757 Freighter can hold over 6 million golf balls.

I personally can see 255,00 pounds of 626,000 parts doing a little more damage then what the public is presented with.

Learn about the construction of the pentagon and then come back.

I am referring to the ground before the Pentagon. The Plane supposdly hit the Pentagon at a low angle but it did so without leaving fragments of the wings and/or the fusilodge, nor did it disturb the lawn in any physical way.

Now, if you're saying that the Pentagon swallowed, metaphorically speaking, the 757, without leaving evidence of the 255,000 pound plane, well then, I have a problem with that.

Read the other thread that Neutrino linked too. There are numerous explanations for any discrepancies you may come up with.

next they will be telling us they really did land on the moon in 69!

MUPPETS!

:sniper:

It's funny how sudden everybody is an expert in the physics involved when a 757 hits a reinforced building.

Meh, bollocks to those conspiracies.

How?!! :O

That site made that up. There's no way a pilot was in there.
