Did the free weekend convince you to buy the game?
For me, yes but I can't get it because of other expenses..

worth it but only as another option, BF2 knocks it into touch by a huge margin

Already had it. Never play it though .. I got tired of the whole Quake reskinned as WW2 thing along time ago.

The det maps, really add a refreshing sense of gameplay that multiplayer games usually dont have' urgency.

I didn't like it, so no, the free weekend didn't convince me. I felt that it was a bit unbalanced and I just didn't enjoy it. Too CS'y for my tastes. I'll stick to my BF2 thank you.

Hell no! DOD:Source is a terrible game and it's only fun to play for the team kills. The original is much better and even then that one isn't even much good.
