Die Hard 4 Reviews Coming In...

Looks like it's a good thing I plan on watching this, then!

Seeing it as soon as it comes out here, me and my mates are great Die Hard fans.

Only 12 reviews so far. I'll wait til there's at least 80. Something tells me that high score is going to drop a lot.

Seeing it tommorrow. Comingsoon gave it a 8/10. I dont listen or care about reviews posting for the peeps who do.

Still pissed its pg 13.

I'm sure it will drop off a bit, but it's not being panned right out the gate and they're screening it...that makes me happy enough.

ive heard that he still doesnt say the line though :(

Weak^ if true, well im happy some people are liking it. I was gonna boycott it but my parents offered to pay...and that doesn't happen often.

I watched Die Hard last night. Then I went upstairs and watched a Die Hard 4 trailer. Then I cried.

I'll still go see it, natch, but... y'know.

I wouldn't say it sucked...but it definitely doesn't deserve the near universal praise it's getting from audiences. The Rate Last Movie thread is littered with 10/10 reviews for 300....why? who the **** knows? It was a cool action movie with impressive special effects...but not a landmark film by any stretch of the imagination.

Anyway, it's too bad McTieran didn't work on this. He's just as essential to this series as Willis imo.

I don't want to derail the thread or anything, but because someone enjoyed it enough to rate it 9 or 10 out of 10 doesn't mean they nessicarliy count it as a landmark/groundbreaking film... perhaps they just enjoyed it, plain and simple? I know when I rate films I rate them on the level I enjoyed them, with all thought of ''how close to [such and such ''groundbreaking'' film IMDB/rottentomatoes says is godly] is it in good-ness''

Perhaps some people do, and fair play, but then I really disliked all the high-ranking films like Shawshank, Memento, Eternal Sunshine..., so maybe I'm just backwards. :p

No, no it wasn't. It sucked.

Die Hard looks shit. These reviewers have been something terrible and potentially dangerous.

:(

I thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of it.

I guess, it;s just that such reviews are usually reserved for masterpieces( i am very flexible with this term, IE i think Army of Darkness is a masterpiece lol). There's no reason to rate something that you just enjoyed 10/10...especially if it's far from your favorite films.

havent watched 300 but I have see the reason people like it so much is for the ACTION and EFFECTS and "SPARTAAAA!" which dont convince me that much

and I have noted that just put some explotions in a trailer and bang everyone is hooked

I have to say that I really wasn't impressed by 300 as much as I thought I would be, and my view of it has soured over time.

If I had to go back and watch it all over again - this time without all the annoying hype - I'd probably give it a 5 out of 10 at best. It's a stupid movie. Looks wonderful, but stupid.

I still can't over the pg-13 rating.
It'll probably be a big summer popcorn flick ala Terminator 3 with huge explosions and cliched one liners but nothing more.
Terminator 3 was a huge disappoinment to me as fan and so will probably this.

I don't consider Terminator 3 when talking about movies.

Also, if 300 was shortened to about an hour with just action scenes, I would like it a lot more. All the nonsense talk with his wife, and the talking while in the field was a snorefest.

The inclusion of Justin Long as a main character in Die Hard 4 bewilders me.

T3 and 300 were travesties. T3 because it did an awesome series injustice and 300 because... it's 300.

Oh God, I wish somebody would shoot Justin Long in his ****ing face. Every time I see him, I can't get his stupid "I'm a Mac" image out of my head and it makes me want to choke his stupid neck until his eyes roll back into his skull.

I am so looking forward to this, for the simple reason that during the opening credits, in my best Action Film Narrator Voice (you know, the guy who sounds like he's smoked twenty packs of cigarettes?, I'm going to say "There comes a time in every man's life when he must choose, to either live free...OR DIE HARD!"

Well the movie is about an Internet-based terrorist organization trying to take over the US. Someone thought it must have been clever to cast a guy who's been impersonating a computer for the last two years.

I'm going to cringe when the inevitable inside-joke about this comes up in the movie.

It's currently at 77percent, which is shit loads better then Die Hard 3, which i thought was almost as good as the orginal:).

Wait.... WHAT?! *google search* On IMDb Die Hard 3 has 7.2/10

And IMHO all the previous 3 movies have were equally as good, but NOOOO they had to ruin everything with this shit! BLEAHHH....

Are you saying it is a spoiler or do you want a spoiler?

Ehh...a little warning would have been nice, but it's cool. Doesn't exactly reveal a key critical plot shift or something...lol.

Still gonna see it. :E

Meh, it has all the charm of MI3 and 300 combined. That tunnel asploshen is a lame way to hook brain-dead audiences.

But then again, I was never a die hard fanatic.

It's less then 50percent on rottentomatoes. I didn't think Die Harder was as good as the first/third..but was decent in its own regard. Definitely worthy of the trilogy.

they just added like 15 reviews and it's now at 78 percent, I'm actually excited now...i really thought this was gonna blow( still could, i know)
2nd EDIT: they just added like 20 more, it's still at 77 percent:).

EDIT: Dude, the whole series is an attempt to hook brain dead audiences, but somehow they pulled it off better then every action series ive seen...that's why this series kicks so ass

I loved it. ****ing loved it.

Of all the movies that were supposed to be hits this summer (Pirates, Shrek, Spiderman, blah) Die Hard easily kicks the shit out of their snot.

O_O.
