Different voice pak on retail DVD

I installed HL2 / CSS etc for a friend last night. He purchased the UK DVD version, evrything worked as expected, but whilst playing CS:S in bot mod I noticed that he has different voice sounds to me when I play my Steam purchased version. I must admit I haven't restarted my own steam to see if it was an update. Is it??

They say stuff like 2 left, 1 left, sniper does anyone else have this, am i missing something??

The bots use voice chat to tell you things like that. They aren't radio commands. Just bind something to +voicerecord and you'll be alrite
