I don't know what the difference is between the normal, the pro and the XT(kink of a noob I guess).Could anyone explain?
Thx

i want 9600 xt sapphire i think if im correct xt is better then pro which one is more lol but i do think xt is better then pro wait for other replies

It goes SE < non-pro < Pro < XT (XT is best)

I'm not quite back yet people, just posting occasionally :)

SE (Sucky Edition): Similar speed as a Pro from one of the lower models.
Non-Pro: Good money saver for similar performance of the Pro
Pro: The main card to get for great performance
XT (Extreme): A nice speed bump from the Pro with a few goodies at a premium price.

It doesn't really mean Sucky Edition, it means Standard Edition, and I'd say that they can be good value if you fancy a bit of h4xing :)

lol
I know, that's my own name for it (and many others).
If you can mod the 9800SE then it is a good buy but read up on that first.
At stock...it's sucky for a 9800 card.

You'd be absolutely insane to buy a 9800 xt when the pro can easily be OCd or even flashed to XT specs, if you buy the right one.

I should know, I've got a Hercules 9800SE that's at XT rates (clock speeds) and softmodded to a 9800.. it's a great little card.. such good performance for about £70

SE < Non-Pro < Pro < XT

Pro is probably the best value since you get a very nice card that can be easily OCed to XT levels.

se - 4 pipes , underclocked , r350 core
non pro - 8 pipes , underclocked, r350 core
pro - 8 pipes , fully clocked , r350 core
xt - 8 pipes , fully clocked , r360 core

se - stay away from.
non pro - good , if cheap enough.
pro - best value(if youre not into overclocking flashing or modding)
xt - only 10% faster than pro , and usually more than 20% more expensive.

Also some pro's have the R360 core, which makes them almost exactly the same as an XT. Check here for more details on the right cards to buy for the R360 core.

It's terribly confusing. I always thought that SE meant second edition. I thought these would be better than the non-pro. Learn something new every day.

Generally the Pro card is the best buy. XT is such a little performance raise for so much more money.
