Digital Camera!

I'm looking for a decent digicam for about £50 - £80...

I don't know anything at all about cameras, let alone digital ones.. any help would be much appriciated

I think you'll be able to get a decent enough camera for about 70 quid (2 mega pixels probably)..

I use the Concord Eye-Q 3040AF. It's 3 megapixels and it's £89. I know it's a bit expensive but it's served me well.

The only problem is the memory seems a lot smaller on the highest quality setting! I have yet to buy a memory card...

i have a sony cybershot p92, 5 megapixels..i bought it for about $330, dont know what that would be in £'s though

Though I never use it on 5 mexpixels because the pictures are like 3 megs on it. But the detail is amazing =). Havign the capability to take video for as much as your memory stick can hold is nice too

If you want 3x optical zoom.
I would look for the Nikon 2200 model. 2MP but it has the 3x optical zoom that most cameras in its pricerange don't have.
You can do 4x6, 5x7 and even 8x10's with 2MP. Nikon makes quality lenses.
Use a low cost CF card.

The camera can be powered by two AA type batteries, NiMH or NiCd rechargeable type or a single CR-V3 type one-use lithium battery. The AA NiMH batteries are highly recommended and can power the camera for up to 80 minutes, the CRV3 will last for up to 150 minutes (using the LCD sparingly.)

If you get a 3MP camera then you can do 8x10s a little better but at that price range 3MP cameras don't have optical zoom, just digtal. Don't ever use digtal zoom at all btw.

Here is a review for the Nikon 2100. 2200 is just a revision model.

Seen them around b4, cheap & reliable, not quality pics thou.

Then I would pick up a Sony, Olympus or Kodak 2MP digicam.

of course digital cameras are hardware, so are PDAs... infact so is anything that contains software...
