DirectX 90+ Glitch?

Well, yesterday I started up DoD:Source to have some fun on Donner...I was asked to be a sniper and keep guard over the tank, and I accepted.

I was running towards to stairs to get into that attic-ish area, and right where the sandbags are, I sort of.."Blacked out.." I thought maybe the admin was playing a joke, or it was one of those fun mods that turns the map black. I eventually made it up the stairs (By 'starlight' you could say) and looked out the 2nd story window, and this is what I see:

Then I realized no one else was talking about it, and asked if anyone else had something similar..They said no, and asked if I had sprinted to fast or got up from prone too fast (I have no idea what that has to do with the whole map being blacked, plus I haven't seen that feature in the game yet anyway)

I got kind of frustrated at it, and left the server, then decided to play CSSource..Started it up and everything looked fine at first, no glitches or anything, but I loaded up Dust2 and the first thing I notice is my models are transparent, and it looks like I've got a wallhack...

I've heard others having problems similar to this, and while I'd like to keep this advantage, I don't think it would be morally right..I haven't figured out how to fix it yet, been looking around for fixes to this Glitch.

And I know its not a hack, because I have never used a hack, have not tried one, and haven't installed anything to do with Source graphics (Except some custom models from FPSB), except for this "built-in" one, and I would rather play without it..Plus, if I was a hacker, would I be this open and trying to get rid of it?

By the way, I'm running it @ 1152x864 in Windowed mode with most settings on High (Including full HDR for Nuke) with a 7800GTX installed, as well as DX9.0c...

Do this, verify both DoD:S and CS:S gcf's via steam, if that doesn't work, delete the gcf's and re-download.

I've tried that already..

Another thing I forgot to add is the fact that its so random..Sometimes when I start it, I don't have the problem, other times it does...

That is pretty much exactly what a Wall-Hack looks like. Notice the hand coming through the gun - that happens when you have a WH. also all models are brought through the brushes. Tell me; Are player models shown through walls too?

If so it does look so much like a wall-hack. Usually when your card overheats it stops rendering walls (brushes), and textures randomly. But this just looks like every model is brought ahead of brushes - What a lot of Wall-hacks do.

What I suggest is that you don't let anyone use your PC to play CSS if they have. also re-install DirectX just incase (could be a dodgy install). Other than that all I can say is that starting your own server and start pressing the numpad keys (Lots of Wall-hacks have different hook settings bound to the numpad). If your view corrects itself, then you have a Wall-hack and I'd notify the file-hosters of the skins you downloaded.

EDIT: No idea about DoD.

How can you hack without knowing lol

Some skinners put a modded .DLL in there to trick you into getting Steam Banned.

That's why I always check.

Well I was playing DoD for a while, so I suppose the overheating is a big possibility.

And I've never let anyone play CSS on my computer without me watching them...

drop the dxlevel to 81, does it happen there?
