Disabling HUD?

I was wondering is there a way I can disable the HUD and when someone kills another person it won't show it? I want to make a movie, in spectator mode, but all that text comes up. I'm pretty sure there's a way, but not sure what it is?

you can, I think the command is somethign like cv_showhud 0

just mess around till you find the command.
