The issue was a slight blur, letters having a mimicking shadow just to the right, for instance.
Updated drivers, still no difference.

Try not to edit your post after you find a solution, just post a reply on how you fixed it. That way if anyone has the same problem they know what you did.
However, if you just wiggled the cord to fix your issue that could be a serious problem. If we are talking about the power cord here that could lead to serious issues. If its the dvi or vga cord that can also damage your display in certain conditions. Throw the cord you got out and get a new one, they are cheap if you don't already have one lying around somewhere. And its not worth losing a display because you were to lazy or too cheap to change the cord.
If you're talking about your monitor randomly going blank, I had an Acer monitor that did that. I tried a new cord, and everything else I could think of. It kept happening, so I said **** it and bought a Samsung.
