Dissapointed with Deus Ex2?

Ok, I'm getting angry. I messed with the audio stuff, and nothing happened, it still freezes. I have the Catalyst 3.1 drivers, and I have a 9700 TX.

Why are you running the 3.1s? Atleast upgrade to the 3.7s, 3.9s are best though

FRAPS + Virtual Dub!

Record the video with sound in FRAPS, open in vdub, extract the audio as a wav, tada

its a low end 9700..still a good card

How does it freeze? Do you play for a while and it locks up? Or is it just a black screen once you hit "New Game"? If you're on Windows XP try going to the properties of Shock2.exe and check the box next to "Disable visual themes" on the compatibity tab. Also try running it with compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME.

I got the file, I right clicked, and clicked exract all. Then I clicked the .exe file and it started :\

try this instead:

open the zip-file double click the exe-file from the zip directory....
