DIVX problems(troubleshootin)

Okay this never happeend to me before. I reformmatted my pc and now have windows 2000 PRO.

I installed divx bundle 5.1 and alot of huge codec packs. I have it all i guess. Every time i load up a divx avi it plays with sound and all,....but you can't tell what is going on. Its like just diagnol lines mostly dark and a few colors. Can't make anyting out at all.

look for something called
ffdshow, its a codec pack, gets them all in there....
best thing is...
install latest divx first, then xvid, then ffdshow.
i would use windows media player, or bsplayer.

yeah whenever i used to load a few codec packs it would display some of the files wierd or not at all but when i selected only the codecs i knew i needed everything was great.

If you just want to watch a movie the following codecs would be all you need..

* DivX Video 5.1 Bundle
* XviD
* AC3 (sound)

If you still can't watch a movie then you could use Gspot which can determine what codec you need to watch the movie.. Gspot website
