and people wonder why gabe doesn't post here.....

I kept clicking in between yes and no but it didn't come up with a maybe.

It would make a certain poetic sense... or they could try to NOT draw attention to the whole one-year-today thing.

VUG has no sence of showmanship, and since valve has no controll over this... hell no.

it wont come out till 2005 like i said before
I thought we were rid of you forever since you aren't gonna be playing HL2. :|

If VU announces gold tomorrow, its only because the Steam announcement, and has nothing to do with the history of HL2. VU doesnt care.

To be honest no but we can only hope for it and there still is a small possibility it could happen.

I d :| ont think i will buy the game if it doesnt come out this next month.

I really hope HL2 goes gold tomorrow. Damn if it does I will be really happy for a few days. Also its good to get all those halo 2 fanboys at my school of my back :D

p42.2 is just so excited so that he can say that he didnt buy half life 2 when it comes out, but still stays and posts on a hl2 fan board

The chances of it going gold tommorow are too me just as likely as any other day for the next week.

It makes sense. Oh wait. Another preload, hmm.... The announcement of options for Steam and Retail purchase. Coincidence? I think not.

I highly doubt it will go gold...if anything, more than likely either next week or the following. One of those two if it's going to make a November release.

VALVe is responsable for preloads/steam annoucements/magazine reviews. However, they do not know when its going Gold!

VU decides if its Gold or not. VALVe and VU do NOT like eachother. End of story.

I am hoping that it will go gold tomorrow, but correct me if i am wrong but that was valves release date not vu and they are the ones that have the last say in it.

Are they finally done with the game

I'd say yes (in that the RC was accepted and the game is done). Otherwise it wouldn't have made sense for VUG to hold that six month delay over Valve's heads... they could have come back and said, "well it's gonna take us six months for bug fixing... we'll see if the company that buys you out in a year is more co-operative."

I think VUG thought they had all the cards in this game, then Valve revealed a couple of Aces (reviews, Steam release/ CS:S etc) and shocked VUG who now may only be able to sit down using an inflatable rubber ring. :D

In fact, if HL2 goes gold tomorrow, I will send an inflatable rubber ring to VUG to show my concern for their wellbeing ;)
