do well on SAT much?

I am taking a practice on this friday, then the real test the 26 i believe... I am going to study mostof my friends (who are juniors) already are in the 1300s, so i am kind of nervous that i wont do so well.

I scored an 1840 on my first one, top 93 percentile in the Writing section. I was proud. :D

i took it once and did excellently - much better than i expected - though i could have done better on writing if the prompt wasn't so idiotic.

I did what Ennui did in Reading and Writing, but I sucked at Math.

I took the new SAT and got about a 1600. Perfect score on the essay but my Math kinda tripped me up a bit (I'm not so good at Math). Anyway, 5 hour test I'm never doing that again! Screw that!

yeah no kidding even if i could probably bump my combined score up about 50-70 points by retaking it, **** that. the SAT was the most tortuous test i've ever taken.

Did any of you take SAT IIs? I had to, for admissions purposes at some of the universities I'm applying to... they weren't too bad, actually.

Yeah, no kidding. I took it before they added the writing section, so I'm sure it's even worse now. I HATE essays :flame:

I was very surprised when I took the test a second time, I improved my verbal score by 60 points, although it didn't feel like I did any better (and I hadn't done any extra preparing either).

got a 1710, 2x.The 2nd time ironically I did the same on math, verbal went up, and writing went down (is it just my school or did everyone get an 8 on those f***ed up essays?)

Scholastic Aptitude Test. It's a standardized test that most colleges/universities require for admission consideration, that we take as juniors or seniors in high school in America. Wikipedia it ;)

Man the only sh17 I have to worry about now is the MCAT.

i got a 1760, then on my 2nd try, my score went down so much. i applied mostly to Midwestern schools so i took the ACT 3 times, eventually i got a 26, which is average for my high school. i got accepted to Purdue engineering so far. still waiting for 6 other colleges. i never took the SAT IIs because im already taking AP classes and most of the schools that i applied dun require them.
