By that last sentence, Absinthe is talking especially about dextromorphan (that may not be spelled correctly) which has a tendency to do strange things to your perception like give you extra arms that bend the wrong way and drag your soul across the room.Yes.
Weed, shrooms, and ecstasy. Although I mostly stick to alcohol and tobacco. Weed every now and then. Shrooms and ecstasy generally only on certain occasions. Dying to do some acid.
I also "abuse" OTC products, the legailty of which isn't so clearly defined and varies depending upon location.

I knew it looked too short but I didn't care enough to look it up. I haven't done DXM, I might... but dissociatives do not really pique my interest.
Maybe I should give it a spin. I'm comfortable with my control and stability. The first time I tried magic mushrooms, I ate 4 grams dry of very potent indoor shrooms, with my friend, and it was his fourth time tripping. He ate about .5g less than I did, and they were much more powerful than we had expected, the most potent that I've ever encountered even since, and his ass started freaking out... and I had to drag him out of it while fighting for cognitive control. My only bad trip, and also the greatest experience I ever had. It's not fun when your friend is throwing up and crying about how he wants it to stop, and you're even deeper in it than he is. I kept forgetting about existing and would just watch the trees float and spin and the ground slide over my sneakers.I've found that the word "dissociative" is sort of misleading. It almost implies a sort of numbness. While physical sensations such as pain don't really register into your consciousness, and your familiarity with context and schemas is pretty much destroyed, there are some truly wonderful feelings of awe and euphoria. Your example of having your soul dragged across the floor, one I'm pretty well aquainted with, is such a wonderful feeling that I truly never want it to stop. It's surprisingly serene and relaxing, despite the way it sounds.
Of course, I know people who just didn't like it, or went batshit insane. Requires a moderate level of stability to handle, and that doesn't guarantee an enjoyable experience. And for me it's also been pretty heavily based on short-term memory. If I just finished playing, for instance, World of Warcraft, then peppered throughout my experience will be visions of gliding through expansive forests and lands, watching people scurrying around beneath me. But if I watched a lot of Robot Chicken in the last few hours, the whole stop-motion animation style gets stuck in my brain and it becomes nightmarish.

If you're interested in it, it's crucial that you read that. Provides good reccomended dosages and pretty accurately describes some of the effects you'll experience. Also steers you away from products that could potentially kill you. =\
Great minds think alike. I linked smoke to DXM Erowid the other day when he asked me abouti t.
