I don't do drugs, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol and don't drink coffee.:E

Caffeine, Phenylethylamine and various other active compounds found in herbs and supplements i take.

I don't do drugs, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol and don't drink coffee.:E

Me too, but i do drink green tea and guarana = caffeine.

They're lame because he's about to get his ass beat over them.

Well if they're not for him and he doesn't want to use any, that's fine. All he has to say is that.

Wording it to project as offensive to people who do use them, or a 'looking down my nose at you' approach is going to get people riled up.

I understand if he wasn't trying to put it that way but that's how it came across. Text sucks, body language always helps if you were saying it out loud.

Yep.

I myself don't do any drugs at all, legal or otherwise, but all my friends (literally) are pot smokers, shroom eaters, coke snorters, etc. And they're awesome.

I also foudn out recently I hate sober white people. S'all good.

As for body language, whenever somebody says that, I get this mental image of like, a dude undulating his body and running his hand down his leg or whatever... it's pretty damn funny.

Drugs...Ummm I have tried weed and it was ok. It was more of a forced thing then an actually wanting too. It made me really sleepy. But as far as smoking and Alcohol....Smoking no and Alcohol maybe in a year or two when i am old enough.

And you're supposed to be associated with Ikerous?

The Queen song starts playing in my head.

So if the prohibition against a certain substance was removed, you'd no longer consider it lame?
the only i reason i put the 'illegal' there so people don't confuse me for someone who thinks all forms of drugs (panadol and so on) are the devil ! :)

- yes, even so since this thread explicitly says illegal drugs, but people like taking people's words out of context on the interweb. D:

right on rakuraitenjin, and yeah, i probably could have worded it better as to not insult the illegal drug users ! oh, there i go again.. just kidding. ;)

anyway, i just think it's lame, i also think people who go out just for the purpose of getting drunk are lame - seriously, go do something fun and healthy; play a sport, read a book, learn how to cook.. just don't waste yourself on things.

- please, don't take the above paragraph and go wild, i'm just suggesting normal things, which aren't dangerous (OMG A BOOK COULD FALL ON YOU AND KILL YOU OR YOUR OVEN XPLODE - not going to work) and blah blah.

glad to see the no crowd is way ahead of the yes crowd. ;)

I find getting drunk more fun than reading. I didn't realize that just because something may be detrimental to my health, I'm "wasting".

A question: would you still do drugs if you could be put in jail for 20 years?

Well, I already can be put in jail, yet I still do drugs.

So I guess that sort of answers that.

I mean not 1 or 2 years, but 20+ minimum.

Reading books and doing drugs are not mutually exclusive. Actually, the last time I was high (quite a while ago) I read The Way to Freedom, by the Dalai Lama, and I got a much more informative, thorough understanding of the text, because the pot gave me a very visual representation of it.

and 13537, that's absolutely ridiculous. **** off trying to control what other people do to themselves.

Repeated offenses can go quite high, I assure you.

And yes, I would. Why? Because I'd prefer not to bend over for what I see as unreasonable government policies. And unless you're an idiot about it, the chances of you getting caught are very slim.

Besides, I do most of my "harder" drug use in European countries with more lax laws.

Hmm... Thanks for the answer.

Well, I just put some broad/general suggestions, you just have to find what is your favourite pass time (No, besides drugs ).

Guys, take numbers less seriously.. he's a bit :rolling: /just kidding about the crazy part, but really, take him less seriously. :s

lol ennui, that's interesting (for lack of better words) that it made it 'better.'

When people are going to do something illegal, they usually dont think theyre going to get caught. It doesnt really matter how much you ramp up the punishments, it wont stop people.

Probably-it's already discrete enough. If you get caught by being irresponsible that's your deal. But in reality no one would propose such sentencing in the system. First of all no one wants to that's in power and no one would support it anyway.

Only tried hash once...Didn't get high, me thinks...There was also drink involved...Twas a good night!

I don't tend to like smoking then drinking.

Drinking then smoking is fine, I get a good buzz high going and feel GREAT.

Smoking and THEN drinking = get upset stomach and buzzkill. Dunno why but its just like that for me.

Vice versa here. I need to get plenty stoned first if I'm going to be drinking later, as I have more control over exactly how much I'm drinking and when to stop. But if I smoke a joint after drinking, it usually ends badly.

There are exceptions, granted. I've gotten shitfaced on Jack Daniels, smoked three joints with my friends, and then watched Team America and nearly killed myself laughing. But as a general rule, I prefer not to mix.

Absinthe, have you ever tripped on Morning Glory seeds, or morning glory flower tea?

I used to smoke weed. Until about 48 hours ago. I gotta get my head together and revise for exam resits :(
After that though, who knows what might happen :D

semi ot: heheheh just realised Tron's avatar is a moonenite. heheh.. "so how many dimensions are there on the moon then?" "erm... 5....." "thousand!"

also with reguards to the smoking/drinking thing.. I feel after smoking, I tend to go a bit 'kamikaze' on the alcohol. Mostly because weed makes me shy/nervous/introspective, while alcohol counteracts these effects. In the right balance, it can be awesome. Shame I tend to err on the side of excessive alcohol. Smoking after drinking is good because you get more stoned. It's good when your supply is running low. I never have problems anymore with smoking after drinking though. Back when I started, however, smoking after drinking was a near surefire pass to vomit station.

edit:
BTW, anyone from UK who smokes 'hash'.. Dont.
The hash, aka soap bar, in the uk is of exceptionally low quality. At least for the most part it is. I can't remember where, but on the net somewhere there was an article about all the shit they put into hash to bulk it up/colour it. You can see this for yourself if you drop some into boiling water. THC (the stuff that actually gets you stoned) doesnt dissolve in water. So if you put some in boiling water, any colour change in the water is nasty stuff coming off, while (mostly) the actual hash sinks to the bottom of the mixing vessel. I showed a friend once, and the water went a very disturbing applejuice/hangover urine colour. It put me off smoking it ever again. Also, this isnt factoring in all those lovely bits of plastic you find in soap these days.

If you really want to smoke hash, get a cheap flight to the 'Dam, and buy some proper hash there. It's very lovely stuff, and actually a whole lot more expensive than the grass.

I would think it would be more expensive, cause it takes a lot of green to make it :rolling:

Yeah a lot of it does, like ice-o-lated hash, which is really tasty and sticky. Some hash isnt actually made from processed green though, such as the (almost extinct) nepalese temple ball, which is made from a sticky resin exuded by the weed plants at high altitudes (e.g the nepalese mountains). This resin is exuded by the plant to protect itself from high UV levels at high altitudes, and is traditionally collected by children who work for 'farmers', going round scraping the resin off and rolling it into balls. That stuff is really, really rare these days unfortunatly. As is Thai Stick. Well, at least they're rare compared with how my parents tell me things were when they were teenagers.

BTW anyone here ever heard of Howard Marks/Mr Nice?

Absinthe, have you ever tripped on Morning Glory seeds, or morning glory flower tea?

Nope, but it's definitely on my list. Probably the next substance in all likeliness. After all, it's not a regulated substance, and they should be sold at pretty much any garden store or similar.

Might look a wee strange walking out with it constantly though. I'm pretty sure the drug store quickly picked up on my habit when I was regularly walking out with bottles and gelcaps of Robitussin/Vicks. I'm convinced they started rearranging the aisles just to dissuade me, and for about two weeks they had them completely removed. :O

Narcotics are one aspect of life that I am choosing to skip. I don't really want to do anything that might decrease my productivity, potential earnings, etc. Not that I think doing drugs is "bad", but it's just not the lifestyle I want.

I wouldn't advise anyone against using drugs, though. Many people see benefits in them, and have a lot of fun. To each his own.
