I downloaded a few hacks once for Counter-strike with the intention of seeing what its like, but i could never figure out how to use them.

Yes, I had a long stretch a few years ago when I used hacks in Counter-Strike, and I found it to be fun as hell. And I was so often accused of hacking any way that I figured I might as well do it. I also found a lot of the anti-cheating crowd to be full of high-horsed, righteous pricks, and figured I'd cheat just to spite them despite knowing it was wrong. I stopped for mainly three reasons though.

1.) I started feeling like a big jackass.
2.) It stopped being fun.
3.) I didn't want to be caught and owned by Valve.

Hmm... I remember when I made this admission a long time back on this forum and some idiot said I was covering up and was going to report me. Damn, that was a fun argument.

Never. I don't even use cheats in console games. My hacking days ended with Game Genie and Street Fighter II for SNES.

My skill more than makes up for any software/hardware shortcomings.

I've never hacked... although i've exploited (grav-gun jumping FTW).

I've hacked in Starcraft, in which I could destroy the enemy with the landing of the command center. It was fun, but blizzard caught me.

I'm against people coming into clean servers and ruining it for everyone, and I've never bothered with hacks on my own computer.

My friend tried some out once in CS 1.6...some crappy wallhack. It made the game so boring.

I like it when someone uses speed hacks though, because it's 100x more satisfying to kill them before they get to kill anyone :E

I was once banned from about 200 servers in a single swoop because an anti cheating system (AOCAB I think) turned up a false positive.

Some furious emailing to the right people fixed that though.

Hacked once on the old CS. It was kinda fun, but it actually made me better after i quit hacking. Never hacked again.

Never hacked in a multiplayer game (been accused of it, of course...).
Of course, I've screwed around plenty with the console in single-player games, but that's hardly hacking.

You know what?

I'd like to see servers out there that condone hacking.

Think it'd make for some interesting games.

"Yeah, well... Well... My wallhack+speed hack pwns your aimbot!"

Bleh...
Hacks are for myg[0]t kiddies.
Who pride themselves on "raging" people online, even though they'd never "rage" someone in real life because they know they'd get the asses kicked.
lol

Sometimes it's kind of fun playing with a speed hacker.

I used to get called a hacker constantly in Call of Duty, but of course I didn't hack so my demos showed up cleaner than a gay man's nostrils.

More people are voting yes than posting.

Or they're including SP cheating in the definition of "h4x", in which case nobody gives a shit.

i had a few way back in the day, and it actually takes some skill to use them and not be caught. I actually turned them off because i used them for TFC and i was better without hacks than i was with them.

plus on my old video card i had a program that would adjust the z buffer or something, which would cause textures to appear as slightly transparent. It wasn't a program for hacking, but it certinally seemed to do it pretty well.

Ah, good ol' transparent geography. That shit really payed off in the old old beta versions of Day Of Defeat's omaha map.

No, but once when I was the admin of a CS server all the admins would end up having a war against eachother using the stack, splode, slap etc commands. Not sure if that really counts but it was funny as hell and must have been a bit weird for all the normal people on the server.

I have a bad habit about hacking every game i play, just to see if i can...

I even went as far as to hack solitaire...

I hacked CS:S once just to be gay and once at a LAN there was a computer that diden't display the flash from the flash granades.

I used to wallhack back in the old counter strike days.

I've hacked somewhat extensively in most shooters. It can really be a lot of fun. I think at one point I was banned from about half of the popular Day of Defeat for hacking, TKing (or team wounding), and doorblocking (I call it being Door Commander). Good times :D. I think I was banned from steam once, but that was removed for some reason.

One time I even set up my own server, and bound keys to teleport me around the map. That was sweet. hehe

I pretty much play games now only at daily small lan parties, and don't hack during them of course. It's fun every once in a while though.

I have a lot of fun just grav jumping to the tops of maps and trying to snipe. It does nothing for your score (hell, most of the time i get minus scores) but it's just great fun.

Plenty of times offline like all weapons, god, or slow time, it's just... fun. A couple times online i've messed around with noclip but only ever if it was on a closed server with people i knew as a mess about, never on a normal server

Man that map was great.. DoD was so much fun back in the old days.

I think I've used a hack or two back in the original CS, when me and my friends were young and dumb..

But if Valve is reading this, I've only done this hypothetically. ;)

Never hacked. My friend wanted to do hack, but he couldn't. I just let him wallow in his own nubbishness.

Never hacked an online game, of coursed pulled down the console in SP tho :D

I have once, just to see what it was like.

I was very excited whilst doing it, it was like a had a hacking fetish or something. After about ten minutes the novelty of looking through walls got boring, Ive never hacked since.

Nope, never. If I want to be annoying I just tk lots :D

I replied yes because I used to use them to train with offline on Conter-strike Source.

I don't hack now, except sometimes I invite Chuck Norris over to boost my rank.

I used the Buzz Hook hack on NS for about six months so I could get to a level with cooler abilities XD

Infact, im going to find it now, and go play a private game with my friends ;P
