Do you hate when people steal your ingame names?

My god, I was over at steampowered today and I saw someone with the name tab. I have never seen anyone with the name Tab but myself. I know this is a stupid thing to be pissed off about, Im just wondering if anyone else has this gripe. It sucks that I can't do anything about it.

Actually I would think that alot of people would be using it too, but every forum Ive been on the name hasnt been using. Ive been playing CS for quite a long time now and never saw the name. One night, I was bored so i looked at my keyboard, saw tab and said "HEY, I LIKE THAT" Oh well, ill use Insert now

people dont steal mine, however I do get a lot of jokers changing their name to something similar to the nicks I use while in a game.. just because Im pretty much owning them.

it happens a lot more than you would expect in TS.

thats fine though.. thing I dont like is being accused of cheating.
theres nothing worse than that... especially since I loathe any form of cheating (even sp cheating)

I rarely use Mr. Redundant while playing online though.. only when I am playing with people from hl2.net or others who know me.

how about making a unique name that other people wouldnt use. like mine. im not gonna tell you what it is cuz im sure theres some asshole just waiting to try and go around faking to be me.

you know punisher/wolverine/blade/superman etc arent original names and theres bound to be like 300 other people with the same name.

When I was a lot younger I used the name NiteHawk in game. Someone started using it and was accused of hacking in Quake/Quake 2 and I ended up getting kicked off servers just becuase some git with the same name was cheating. With WON (nee STEAM) you can single ppl out a lot easier. I use the shortened version of my real name now as I CBA to come up with anything amusing/witty anymore (I used XenoCrevice last week in CZ though LOL!). I stick the dashes in for some artistic license :thumbs:
