do you have a forum ego?

Do you care about postcounts? How big is your e-penis? Do you treat mods differently than you would a regular poster?

I just want to know how everyone feels about this forum community and how it's developed.. do you treat certain members differenty based on how long they have been around, grammar, nationality and such?

I have been here long enough to see one group of regulars leave and another come in and some are still left over from ages ago in this forums youth (I was here, not called bhc but was present under name alb1221, then changed my name a couple of times and went back to this).

I'm basically just looking for some comments on the social evolution of this forum - why do you still post here? What do you get from it?

I treat everyone nice untill they treat someone bad with out a reason. But I do make a little fun of people that are posting stupid things like "Hi all can you find this thread for me? its about something but I dont remember what it was but it was good and about pictures etc."

I'm generally nice to all people in the other forums ive been on unless as Selas said they piss you off by saying something offensive to someone for no reason.. im bad at getting my point through, don't type big posts and say offensive things that i often take back later. im kinda like the soldier that hollers and screams for the other ones to get out there and split some wigs then runs off in the other direction to avoid the consequences. oh and im illiterate, ramble on about things and i leave forums as quick as the wind changes.

People with a bigger post count doesn't bother me, I guess I trust them more because they have used the forum for a long time and havn't been banned.

Grammer is very important though, sometimes it can make a comment really funny, serious or what ever and most importantly I hate ppl whu tlk lik dis.

The only time your postcout matters to me is if it's belowe 200 and you're shooting your mouth off.

I'd like to think that I approach all members in an unbiased fashion and react according to the quality of their posts.

I care not one lick for internet popularity or obtaining some kind of "status" on a forum.

Anyone with a post count below 100 I am going to be wary of but I won't treat them any differently from a member with over 1000 posts. Join a new forum every once in awhile and actually make meaningful posts. It will lessen any ego you may have.

I won't treat mods any differently, content of posts might be different however since I can joke around about things involving the status they have as a moderator.

Grammar I don't care about if I see that they are at least trying to make posts with proper grammar. In other words as long as they aren't using stuff like "u" instead of "you" I won't really care. We aren't making essays here. Besides anyone who has seen me post enough will know I am far from perfect grammatically.

Also why do I still post here? Well it isn't for Half-Life 2 anymore since at the moment I have lost most interest in it. Really it is because this forum and the people on it feel like family. It is a place I can come to and talk about my favorite hobby which is gaming, I am established here and I know which topics are overdone and I know what the general opinions are of many members. It feels very nice to have a place to come and talk about things that my real life friends and family simply aren't interested in. Also in real life I am really quite shy and I suspect I have a phobia when it comes to meeting new people. Online however that phobia doesn't seem to exist. This particular online world really has become a part of my me, it forces me to consider new ideas in everything from gaming to politics and it keeps my mind active which I love.

I tend to treat long standing members with more respect than new ones with large post counts.

I still post here as i am part of the community, i feel that i have stuff to contribute to it, and keep it going

I have a mild forum ego (mainly because I like my postcount) but I don't spam for the sake of it and I wouldn't mind if we abolished postcounts altogether.

I've been here quite a while, under a lot of names (Chris-008, Audiophile, a bunch more) and I've seen the majority of the older regulars leave ;( but we have awesome ones now too.

Not much of a forum ego here. This is mainly because I cant hope to have a massive post count or anything at this time. I also wish I would have joined the forums right away instead of reading other peoples posts so I could have a "senior member" beneath my name.
