If I'm watching/listening to/reading something funny on my own, it's very rare I'll laugh when on my own. Yet I'll see the same thing, or something not nearly as funny, with someone else and I'll laugh. Am I dead inside or is this normal human behaviour?

I think it's normal to laugh by yourself. To me at least, it's a bit abnormal to laugh only when people are around, as it seems like it bypasses what you find funny completely and elevates it into a realm where social nature dominates and dictates laugh response.

I'm kind of like that, although I voted Of Course because I do laugh on my own sometimes. Things just seem a lot lot funnier when other people are laughing at them, for some reason. I occasionally find myself laughing uncontrollably around others, but never on my own these days. But only when they do laugh; it doesn't seem at all funny if they're there but they don't laugh.

It's definately easier to laugh in groups, but yeah, I laugh by myself. Did it earlier tonight in fact. Peep Show. Brilliant programme.
"Did you have to eat the dog?"
"I was asking myself that very same thing and at the moment, yes, it did seem like I had to eat the dog."
I was howling with laughter.

I certainly laugh more with other people. Laughter is, after all, quite infectious. But, I don't think it's weird to not laugh by yourself, however it's not as fun. The physical act of laughing does all sorts of wonderful things throughout your body and mind. I love laughing. I should laugh more than I do. Sometimes I'll hesitate before laughing, lest I do that sharp high pitched kind.

Of course you laugh by yourself, if it's funny enough.

That episode's amazing. "I feel if I'm eating some you should eat some too!" or something along those lines.

Maybe I shouldn't have worded it "Of Course" since there are occasions where I do too, usually when playing TF2.

I find that I laugh more in groups as well. It's very rare for me to literally lol when I'm by myself unless it's genuinely comical.

I laugh when im by myself all the time. HAHA

I rarely laugh more than a chuckle by myself.

All the time. But it's always better to have someone to share your misfortunes and laugh together. Misery loves company.

I snorted.

Well it's good to know I'm not dead inside, or I'm at least as dead inside as the rest of you.

If you've never laughed by yourself you really don't have a sense of humor. That + laughing with company means you have a wannabe socially acceptable facade.

Nonsense. :hmph: Although laughing by one's self is perfectly normal and I do it all the time.

Anyone ever notice how something is extra funny if you can't laugh, like if a teacher is giving a lesson or something like that? I hate that.

I laugh regardless if anyone is around or not tbh, if it's funny I laugh, wtf is wrong with you people?

Anyone who hasn't seen it yet, go to Image/flash/video thread, go into the thread 'I was laughing so hard', make sure your by yourself. I assure you, YOU WILL LAUGH.

I laugh by myself, but I tend to laugh more or just find things funnier when I'm around other people.

Usually this.

Even just thinking about this picture leaves me unable to stand up straight. I was standing by the sink earlier, and I just couldn't wash my hands because this popped into my mind.

I smiled and did the breathe out laugh... cant explain it no other way then that :p

But yeah, its way easier to laugh with friends or whoever, just makes everything more funny!

I laugh more when I'm alone than with others. Dunno why. My laugh is pretty stupid though, so...

I'd say it's the type of company that's more of a factor. I won't laugh with people I don't like. But with the people, or person, who I'm really friends with I guess the general happiness of the company makes laughter a more likely occurrence. Though of course the facade thing is totally true.

Sometimes. Usually it's just spontaneous, if something strikes me as really hilarious then I'll laugh regardless of whether anyone's around, but if I'm with people then I'm a lot more likely to just chuckle along at things as well.

The way I see it, if I hadn't laughed over the last two weeks (when I was alone) I would probably be clinically dead. OF COURSE I LAUGH ON MY OWN!

*shivers*

The american original version of Who's line is it anyway

English version is best :D

I laughed. And wow, Drew looks really skinny in that one.

The American version of Whose Line is BY FAR the best.
And yes, I did laugh.

The English version is the biggest piece of shit ever.. They played it here for a while, it got cancelled after like a month.

They still play the American version, a hundred times better then shit English Who's Line!

two words. low budget

Shit was shot on a 'pawn shop special' camera from the 70's or something. Wardrobe was to just wear some clothes you would do housework in.

I'm making this all up for some reason.

Yes, yes, there's a big difference in American and British humor. Moving along now...

That was the most disturbing episode of the lot. Excellent comedy though. :D
