Works fine for me. I've had slight stuttering problems and long loading times, but the great game makes up for it

Except for MAJOR installation problems and headaches, only minimal problems with stuttering since.
Took me a total of 5 hrs to install and run the game, because I didn't want to intall the CS game on the CD. Then 7 more hours of a stress headache. They could have saved me and alot of other people problems by NOT letting you leave out CS. You would have thought that Valve would have known about that glitch before the CD's were sent out.

I had a slight problem with instalation, but since then I have not had a single problem with the game.

I had no problems apart from the infamous sound-stuttering shenanigans, which left a bit of a bad impression on the overall experience of the game. Judging by what problems other people have had, I consider myself lucky.

I'm having the "memory could not be read problems" (can't remember where the huge post on that is). Re-Installed Steam, no help, did a complete reformat of my machine, and other than driver updates, HL2 is the only thing on it, just started a new game and been dumped out twice in 15 mins.... GRRRR Really hope they get this problem fixed.... :flame:

The 5 CD pack is full of errors, and those of use who don't have a DVD ROM/Combo, have to keep on getting the CD's replaced...
