All respect to sunsets, but nothing really beats walking home at 3 in the morning, and watching the sun climb higher and higher over the rooftops. It really makes me happy. What about you?

they're both mint to be honest. sunrise i suppose tips it for me because i see it a fair bit working in a nightclub getting home at 5

There is nothing more depressing than the taxi back from work at 4am watching the sun rise.

I like a sunrise better than a sunset - sunsets are a more common sight, but waking up to see the sun rise is a challenge.

I like sunsets. The end of light, the end of all things. It really looks awesome, the setting sky, with flares of red and crimson, a whirlwind of things to end, and things to come. Then darkness falls, and you are left alone.

........mmmm

The sun sinking into the horizon produces beautiful colours down here, mate.

Sunsets. Never wake up early enough to see sunrises, and wouldn't be happy enough to appreciate them enough if I did.

Sunrises. Becasue I don't think I've ever watched a sunset.

You remind me of that I have never watched a real sunset or sunrise. It's quite a regret. I am going to watch them someday if i have time.

Sunsets.

I'm something of a night owl. The sunset tells me that it's about time for the good shit to start. Whether that be some late-night gaming binge, an all-night party, time to get high, or whatever.

Sunrises depress me almost. The sunrise tells me "God damn it, it's morning. Time for all the annoying, mundane crap of life." Sunrises are a reminder that the blast of a time I've been having up until 3 or 4 AM are coming to a close.

I'm all about sunsets. Sunrises are nice too, but sunsets really do it for me.

I still intend, one day in the not too distant future, to watch sunrise and sunset on the coast, on the same day (opposite coasts, obviously)

This too is my dream, lands end and jon'ogroats ... lets do it together <3

Sunsets for sure.

I voted sunsets, because they're gorgeous, but I must admit that I love watching the sun rise with friends after a long night of partying.

Sunsets. I'm more of an evening-night person. The sun going down and the oncoming twilight are very relaxing after a day of being out on the town.

Sunset, it signals the end of the day, and soon will be time for sleeping.

Sunrise signals the time to wake up. Which f*cking sucks.

Fixed.

I love sunsets, especially when I'm in the nature. My photo:

BTW that looks like a sunrise (atleast where I come from!).

Sunsets, because otherwise I'd be way too ****ing tired.

QFT, except I don't party, or anything like that. But the sunset marks me time in a way, I don't really have to work once the sunsets, and my Mom usually goes to bed so she ain't telling me to help her with some work around the house

Sunrise.

I got up at five AM yesterday, and I had to go to work. I was freakin' pissed that I had to get up so early when it's vacation. When I was cycling outside, it struck me:

There was this nice temperature of +/- 20 degrees Celsius and a small breeze that was stroking my face. Then I looked up - I always look down when cycling - and I watched this beautiful sunrise before me... I felt like Mother Nature was looking down on me.

Sunset, remember when when me and all my mates finished secondary school, went straight up to this massive hill that overlooks the entire town where we live. We all sat in a massive crowd. Starting getting dark, so someone put up a fire, and we sat round in a crowd talking and drinking alcohol, watching the sun set over the distant valleys.

Never felt so chilled out in my entire life, until of course, about 50 chavs, one weilding an axe, caught a glimpse of the fire from town, made there way up to cause trouble. Me and four others fleed at first sight of them, and Im glad we did, as things got very rough so we were told.

If I'm ever seeing the sunrise, it means I've gotten up at 5:15 to get ready for school. Needless to say, during that time, I am not in the mood to appreciate a sunrise. Besides, I like the sunsets more, anyway. Especially when they turn the sky/clouds all red. "Red sky at night, shepherd's delight."
"Red sky in the morning... shepherd's warning :O !!!!!!"

This is almost exactly how I feel.

It's hard for me to pick. On one hand sunsets are awesome with the colors and clouds (voted sunset because of this). And I'm always up late at night so catching a sunset would be easy. But on the other hand the heat from the day is still lingering and bugs are more active at that time here so I don't go outside to watch em.

Even though sunsets are in the morning and I rarely get up for them, I think they are pretty refreshing (if you don't associate it with a new day of problems and work...). Plus it's still cool outside. The heat and bugs are not there.

(I like cool, I hate stuffy humid heat which we have here)

sunsets ftw. Really brings out the color in pollution. Sunrises are also awesome though, assuming I bothered staying up that late (won't see me 'get up' that freakin early).

I find them both beautiful, but sunsets seem more depressing. It's the death of a beautiful, sunny day.

I love sunny, clear blue skies and when the sunset comes, it tells me all of that is over.

When I lived in Durham, sunrises would be awesome. Usually involved a walk of shame, but the view walking over Kingsgate bridge was awesome...looking one way gave you some of the city

and the other way was a view of just the river, but the water was still and it was nice.

On the last night of my 2nd year I was walking along the bridge at about midnight and I was greeted by this sight:

It was incredible. Loads of people stopped on the bridge and just looked. Quite a spectacular finish to the year.

I love the last one.
