I really don't think they'll be an apocalypse any time soon though. I'm of the opinion that life generally struggles on and hell - we haven't had an apocalypse yet, we can probably go quite a way before we get one.

If the human race was going to become completely exstinct it is more likely to be from something like a Von Neumann machine or some sort of scientific experiment in the future gone wrong rather than through nuclear war or natural disaster.
