Do you use 'invert mouse' for helis and jets?

For flying - default or inverted mouse?

Personally, it seemed quite strange to me when I first played, that pushing the mouse would make me go up and pulling it - down, as normally it works the other way around. I haven't bothered to change it however and now I am used to playing in this 'inverted' (though default for BF2) way. I just couldn't fly properly when I changed it yesterday.

How do you fly?

keyboard only ftw!
its quite intuitive when you get used to it although dogfighting can be a pain in the ass against a decent pilot

Do you cut off your hands before getting in the jet ? Of course not ! Default...

Just kidding.

Esp. the helo's are easier to fly with WASD / arrows then with WASD / mouse imho.

Keyboard/Mouse combo ftw!

Mouse Up=Up
Mouse Down=Down
Mouse Left=Commie Mouse
Mouse Right=U-turn

:bounce:

For flying I invert. That way it's similar to a joystick. Otherwise I'd be pulling to pull up and crash into the ground. :x
I tried to leave it default at first but the only way I could fly successfully is if I consciously told myself to push forward or pull back each time I wanted to go up or down. Otherwise I'd crash because I'd instinctively fly as if it was inverted.

BTW: Is there any key that allows me to look behind me while in a plane/heli (vehicle actually)? I mean a key I would have to hold while I'm looking behind me. Tapping the 'c' key 3 times to look back and then twice for normal view is kinda uncomfortable :]

bind it or just press ctrl and look around with the mouse

You can look to your sides with ctrl, not backwards. And how am I supposed to bind it? I'll check again, but i thought there wasn't any "backview" option to bind.

Same here, and I almost never play (or have played) games where you fly, lol :D

Playing without inverted feels simply wrong. It's like finding your brother making love to the neighbours dog.

i'd sig it but the mods would get mad at me - 4 line limit :(

The default. I assume it's inverted. I use a joystick for the jets, but I just can't do that with the heli, so I go back to my mouse/keyboard setup. It seems to work pretty well with me. I'm a decent pilot besides my random evading of enemy AA missles and ramming my side into a building... :(

You guys that use the keyboard only, what do you use for primary/secondary fire? (as opposed to the left click/right click of the mouse)

I'd assume space/ctrl.?

on my laptop i use space for bombing/missiles and 'v' or left click (which is just beneath spacebar) for machine gunning with my left thumb

WASD+Arrow keys.

I use space for primary and f for secondary.

Is it possible to use a stick for planes n helis? I hate using mouse to fly and I can't find where to choose joystick...

but to answer the question, I ALWAYS have inverted Y axis - in every fps
