Do you use4 the arrow keys for movement or WASD??

and lol...i can't believe how many wasd fanboys there are...you suggest esdf to them (as i have in other threads and in person) and they won't consider switching even though it's almost the same (and a lot of them complain they don't have enough keys...(or you see them moving their hand to use keys in the middle of the keyboard.)

just give it a try

i think most people use wasd because it's the default key setup in most games

i used arrow keys until quake II then i realised the joys of WSAD and utilized them.
Its good because it puts your arms as far apart as possible, arrow keys just squeezed em together to much, not comfortable.
As for esdf, same but as i said i like my arms as far apart as possible, without moving my keyboard, i like to keep that inline with the monitor.

Here's an interesting combo I am sure no one uses..

Foward= KP_5
Backward= KP_downarrow
Strafe Left= KP_End
Strafe Right= KP_PgDn
Jump= KP_Leftarrow
Duck= KP_Rightarrow
Zoom/M2= KP_+
Weapon Switch= Mouse3

i always use the arrow keys, and i got a pretty standard config. i use in all fps games:
arrows= movement
enter= use
shift = jump
control = duck / running if no ducking in the game
delete= drop gun
end = misc
pagedown = misc
num 0= walk / stunt in the specialists
num 1= reload
num 4= gun config
num 7= misc

works perfectly for me

If fact, it's so much to the left it actually covers a part of the A. If you have a big hand (like I do) it's torture basically.

I always use the arrow keys and all the other functiones (reload, use, jump, etc) I programmed into my 5-button mouse.

Thats part of my problem too.... I have large gorilla hands and having all the keys close together like that makes my fingers trip over each other!

Well, besides dressing up in a pink tutu and calling myself 'Petra' on thursdays I also use the arrow keys for movements. I know that WASD is much more efficient but I can't seem to get used to it, I will start playing with it soon though so I can get it down before HL2 hits the shelves.
