does anyone remember?

there was one easter fool text on some gaming news site, clanbase or gamespy or some other, cant really remember where. It was in early 1999-2000(?).
It was something like "half-life2 coming" and there was some info about how it uses half-life 1 engine and so on.. I can imagine how fun did they have in valve becouse they really were making half-life 2...
Anyone other remembers this? It would be hilarious to find that article now..

it was funny... it's at PHL or planetquake somewhere, in the archives. it was pretty funny, people got angry because they said it was all going to be on xen, or something.

A fun little thing also is, if you look at the last news on the TF2 webpage from Jan 23, 2001 (hang on that's not the point ) and part two of the log, you see Yahn referring to HL as HL1 a few times.

nope, source engine is all valve's work
*edit* except for the physics engine, havoc developed that (I think thats the name of the company)
