Does FedEx Suck now?

I ordered something last Sunday before the forth, the order was shipped on wednesday with fed ex home delivery and now it STILL isn't here, home delivery offices are closed monday but open saturday ...

yesterday I ordered something from Newegg via UPS, it is already in my home town awaiting shipment tommorow..

so does fed ex suck now or is this just a case of really really horrible service.

Ya this is what surprised me, Ive always respected fedex because the packages always arrived at my house really in good shape and promptly, some of my ups packages have looked like a whale sat on them, its really annoying have to pay 20 dollars in shipping just hoping that it will arrive unscatched and in a well timed manner:(, makes shopping online a pain in the ass too.
 
Wel i got the package today so i guess thats good, o well next time il request a different carrier, ordered things from dick blick.
 
I just bought a hard drive off newegg and instead of going with the 3 day UPS shipping for free I paid the extra for Fedex saver shipping. We will see how it goes. While I've never had anything bad to say about UPS, Fedex has always been awesome when I order stuff online and have it delivered to my house.
 
Truthfully I have never had any problems with FEDEX or UPS. They both get delivered around the same time of day and they both are just as fast as each other.
 
Just about everything takes two weeks to get delivered here. Must've taken a month for a copy of Planescape to arrive to my house when I ordered off Amazon. I'm hoping the comics I ordered from dcbservice last weekend arrive soon

Don't ever use USPS for packages, only snail mail.

Look at this package I just got last week that shipped through USPS.

It arrived like this, EXACTLY like this, I haven't touched it at all except to move it.

The book inside is RUINED btw. Taking it back to post office to bitch them out.

Wow, its half USPS fault and half whoever packed it.. should've packed it better, so if that did happen atleast the book wouldnt have been as damaged. Also you should have not accepted when it arrived, b ut I don't know how insurance works with USPS.

Asus im sure youll come trough and if you dont you can always complain to newegg they of course will probably give you something free, because they are newegg.

FedEx+Newegg still FTW
I ordered the package Tuesday (July 11th) just after noon. Newegg got it off to FedEx that same day.
FedEx estimated delivery to be Monday, July 17th. BUT I got it today (Friday, July 14th) @ 3PM. That's 3 days! woot

Dude they left it in the mailbox (we have a pretty big one. Also other packages that are too big for the mailbox USPS has just left at the door instead) How am I supposed to not accept it when it arrives?

By the way, that's HARD, THICK cardboard and not just flimsy brown paper. Trust me it's USPS fault. Someone tried to open it to see what it was is my best guess.
 
My comics still haven't arrived. Ordered on July 7th, just got the shipment notification today :|

As I'm working as a packaging guy at a small firm selling boat things in Finland. You can't pack better than that.

hah. Damn newegg and their shipping...it took a whole 3 days! Can't they ship any faster? Give me an Intel E6400 and we will call it even. :)

When do you think you'll get the comics? Think you'll get them sometime next week?
 
I'm hoping tomorrow, but that's wishful thinking. It seems the site I use to order comics uses DHL to ship things.
 
The only bad thing about working for FedEx is when your plane crashes and you're forced to spend 7 years on a desert island with Tom Hanks.

City Link. City Link suck so much it's actually hurting my genitals just thinking about it. They're excrutiatingly sh*t.
They came extremely close to absolutely ruining my day (they didn't, thanks to Shodan and Kirov) and definitely helped bugger up my relationship with the people I've been working with this week.

I ordered a bunch of new computer parts that came yesterday, but I was at work so I got a card telling me I'd missed it. Fair play, these things happen.
I called them, and when I finally got through was told to call another number which turned out to be an utterly f*cking useless piece-of-shit automated service so I called them this morning saying
"I'm working till 2pm today, is it possible to get it delivered to my house after 3pm?"
"Yes, it should be fine. I'll just let them know."
"So, after 3pm?"
"Yes."
"That's perfect! Thank you!"

I get home at 2.45pm with a card awaiting me saying they came at 1.30 pm. GET F*CKED.
I've been a courier before and I know that if a customer says they need it before or after a certain time YOU DELIVER IT FOR THE TIME THEY ASKED FOR.
It's really that simple.

So yes kids, the moral of the story is that City Link delivery service are a shower of bastards, a f*cking useless ramshackle bunch of tw*ts and an all-round group of hatred-deserving gobshites.

Well I heard this story where I guy ordered a new graphics card from newegg and it arrived from FedEx in a bunch of pieces. :P
 
Well UPS... well well ups... WELL UPS!

Ok so its a somber Wednesday and im anxious about receiving my sound card from newegg. I go out of the house until one come back and around 3:15 i heard the ups truck.

So i get excited I always like to wait and pretend that I amnot anxiously waiting for my package. so i let the guy walk up to my porch and ring the door bell well i wait probably ten seconds so it doesnt seem like ya know i am some shipping freak or something.

I open the door NO ONE IS THERE so i look around
and i see my package half opened right next to my door
LITERALLY OPEN
WITH NO TAPE ON THE TOP

NO TAPE!!!

so I am like what the **** where the **** is the UPS guy?

I look to the truck he is waving at me telling me how he left the package on the porch I walk inside my house head shaking, I mean what if this was something really really important and it got ruined because this guy;s careless mistake of not waiting for someone to answer the door. he didnt even leave a note what if I came home later that day and i was wondering where my package was ya know

i think its because i live in florida and the guy no offense seemed likea big redneck

Best place to get comics. Get up to 40% off of everything. Trade paperbacks that would cost 24 dollars in the store are only about 8-12 dollars. Of course, shipping is about 5 dollars which is a beyotch.

But, the shipping company they use, DHL, its horrible :|
