does halflife2 work on win xp64 ?

check if winxp64 supports 32bit applications on its website?

im not sure but thats a good place to look ill bet

the reason i ask is that most run it with problems from what i have seen

It mostly works, but bare in mind it's not an official supported application yet.

XP64 is best avoided for a while.

Theres a thread somewhere by a guy where everything went really fast, even when he played online... Made me laugh.

Upgrade now.....my friend runs steam and all games flawlessly on the XP 64 BETA.....

do you need a 64-bit processor for 64 bit OS? (Sorry n00b question)

If you upgrade to XP 64bit you might have problems with drivers; check and make sure all your hardwaare is supported.

this is also true....nvidia has some pretty decent/recent drivers for 64 though....

You know that 64 on the end of all the new AMD processors? Guess what it stands for. :)

Windows XP 64bit is officially finished and will start appearing in new computers soon. Some people will be able to upgrade for free, some will have to wait for a retail version.

i just have the plain old xp home version , i proberly will have to buy it :( (xp64 that is)

It's OEM or Exchange only, so you can only get it with a new 64bit comp or by trading in an XP Pro key.
