How do you know when somebody truly cares about you? Or how do you know that YOU truly care for someone?

Thats the thing about families that really doesn't make sense to me. Why is it that most families stick together for so long? but most friendships and lovers come and go much easier?

Are there responsibilites in a family that keep it together that are not existant in other realtionships? If so what are they?

Well thats a nobrainer but im gonna hazard a guess and say kids :p

I'll just say the one thing my ol' man constantly tells me...
"You'll know when you find the one for you."

I've never lost faith in how he taught me, and he's never been wrong. I doubt that this time will be any different.

You cant escape your family, thats why. You have to live around them constantly and grow more attached. You can never know when a family memebr will come swooping down from the rafters.....like a bat!

I saw that video, it was hillarious. The look on your face, TDE, was priceless.... Here, I'll draw it up!

O_O

See! Funny!....right?

So very leathery.

I could go on to explain why that is closer to the truth than you might think, but I throw up a little in my mouth everytime.

I think you two hijacked this poor fellows thread...:p

In some weird way i'd like you to tell me, but perhaps its better for my health if you dont.

He'll get over it.....but okay. I suppose you feel this deep emotional connection with this person, something you've never felt before and couldn't imagine feeling for anyone else.............then you find out that this person is seeing all three of your brothers behind your back.

You back for good?
Gah I never left the second time. First time I was just incredibly busy and important stuff cropped up, second time I just got distracted and completely forgot to bother posting for weeks :)

As for "back for good" I dunno, we'll see. I'm going to Canada in a few weeks and might fall off a mountain or something :D

I'll swoop in and save you. Then make love to you..then eat your arms. That OK?

You better get that post count raised, Stern is gaining on you... :p

I'll just bite your ankles :p

until your false teeth drop out.. then you can gum me into submission like an old gran does her grandchildren when they are dragged into a visit by the parents and scrunch up their faces as the approaching horror smacks a wet one on the cheek

:p

:O ....touché!

...never underestimate senior citizens

You'll know if your at PE and a hawt girl comes and puts her leg on your leg and strechs out. I will never wash those dirty boxers.

That reminds me of a conversation earlier about old women and the purple rinse perm of death and it being some kind of country wide uniform, which had somehow sprouted from a conversation about doctors receptionists thinking they are godlike beings and ended up turning into a discovery that the senior citizens of Great Britian are infact an alien invasion force hell bent on taking over the country

Anyhoo the end of it I just got carried away lol

"It would seem so. Lets look at the facts

Women over a certain age suddenly 'aquire' a purle rinse perm of death

their husbands mysteriously vanish or are presumed scared

The purple rinse bregade prowl the streets during the day, threatening anything that crosses their path. Even vehicles must stop at their passing

Groups huddle together and stick out their arses to cause difficulties for others in small shops

They can be often seen in newsagents and supermarkets holding up a line at the checkout, or again blocking an aisle entirely

Acid tongue, never cross one or they suddenly give chase and hurl insults

Their constantly bringing up the mention of war and how we'd never survive like they could. An omen of things to come?

They wear brown or beige colored coats, clearly this is camouflage

Their attempts at halting all things enjoyable for the younger generations. A sign of a new power and its beliefs growing in the suburbs and estates of Great Britian.

Those vehicles they use on paths instead of roads. Surely an engine so small wouldn't need a chassie so large to contain it. It's really a miniturised urban pacification vehicle undergoing its final testing phase

The inability to climb stairs unaided. Everyone knows bad guys don't climb stairs.

The curious attraction they have towards places like Bognar or Filey. These are infact where the large gatherings take place for future planning. Safe in the knowledge that nobody else is going to ever be there.

Stannah stairlift Ltd. is really a secretive development focusing on the creation of a superior wrinklerace. It all fits.. stairlifts, walk in baths, turbo powered wheelchairs, intelligent beds, specialised vehicles and the carbon copy hairstyles for identifying fellow infiltration units when in the field.

All these things lead to one thing.. Old people are Daleks and have come to conquer us"

So yeah, basically your an alien being Stern :) That chin is a dead giveaway too ;)

extriminate exterminate!!! :borg:

you've been away from here for far too long ...it's starting to get to ya :rolling: ;)

Nope not Toronto. I'll be going where its as cold as I can get it and as out of the way as possible, that or I might just go to Halifax instead and spend the week drunk with old friends.. naa middle of nowhere with nobody to bug me is far more appealing :p

And while it is tempting to put your hands in bowls of warm water while you sleep . I think I'll be sticking to the wide open spaces instead, sorry ;) hehehe

On-topic, yeah blood is thicker than water n all that *shrugs*

you want Polar Bear Island ..it's so remote you need permission from the federal government to get there ..and even then you have to be flown in

either that or nunavut, or the yukon or manitoba or saskatchewan .etc ...come to think of it outside of toronto the rest canada is just ice and snow ...365 days a year :E

See now THATS a country I can respect! lol.

I'm thinking of Saskatchewan, I know someone up there, hell I don't really care so long as its very cold, very snowy and very out of the way :D

not saskatchewan!! it's TOO remote ..I think the population is like 10 ..12 during the summer (I have friends who have a summer home there) ..all in a provice roughly the size of spain

there's not much to see/do there ..go to british columbia and stay in Vancouver ..it's the best of both worlds ..great city plus tons of remote areas within short driving distances

Sask is perfect then, really I just want to get away from everything for a week, no tv, no phones, no people lol. Though I'll put money on me somehow finding a net connection and computer before long :p

ya but when I say there's nothing there's NOTHING there ..it's all flat land for miles around ...barely any trees ..just endless miles of farmland ..at least in British columbia you have moutains and beautiful scenery ..besides it dips to - 30 C in the winter whereas it's barely ever below 0 degrees C in vancouver

hah ..I dont know ...I'm all for giving them everytrhing they want (within reason) as long as they remain part of canada

this is not a question you should have to ask, if they love you and you love them.. you will know. (if it really is love)

How about "how do you tell when they'd say yes if you asked them to **** you?"

Potentially more useful since apparently everybody magically knows when they're in love anyway. :p

The_Monkey said:
Isn't that the exact opposite of what they want?

no ...well yes ..some of them want to seperate but not all ...it's mostly an issue of french and english rights in quebec, they've been treatening to seperate longer than I've been alive ..that should tell you something ;)

eh, i stop posting in the thread so it would go back on topic and its still on about canada hehehe.

Anyhoo the OP needs to explain things more, it starts like he wants to know if someone he fancies likes him, then goes into family stuff and becomes a bit confusing to what exactly he wants to know. I'm guessing the question isn't as simple as it seems.
