Does Lamarr fly away in the rocket?

When you first go up to the rocket you see Lamarr jump in. I never saw her jump out, and I usually inspect eveything pretty well. Maybe i just missed her. Did anyone see her before it launched?
 
Like all the other threads about this yes she might have got shot into space but she may be back.
 
My bad I haven't been here long and haven't seen many of the "Lamarr is dead?" threads.
 
Nah she may not be dead. She will rescue world in Ep3.
 
I think/hope she got out on time, sometimes you can see her if you wait long enough on menu screen that shows the inside of the white forest base.
 
I think She will be the cause of the next issue in Ep3. It would just make sense. :p

Yeah, I can see it now...her chared husk hurtling from the upper atmosphere into the spinning rotor blades of Alyx's helicopter, causing the vehicle to jerk violently and fall from the sky, before they could reach their intended destination. Gordon loses his weapons.

Screen fades to black, with the white text of "Half Life 2 : Episode 3" slowly fading in.

that sounds like something valve would do...

"Look up ahead Gordan! it's the Borealis! were almost the-" *THUNK*
"what was that?! WERE GOING DOWN!!" *crash into snow a ways a way from Borealis, so you have to find a way in, like hole in the side of the ship.*

I little theroy I made up.
Lammar was sent into space. However she made contact with a Combine Capital Ship and was able to sneak abord. Using the ventilation shafts, she made her way to the Command Deck and latched onto "Breen-Advisor" and took control of the ship. As Gordon, Alyx, and Kliner are cornered by multiple Striders and Hunters, the Ship swoops down, raining death down upon the Combine. She self-destucts, signaling the end of the Combine, but not before hopping into an Advisor Pod and launching clear.

Maybe she got caught in a portal way up there.


If it's dead, Dr. Kleiner will have to find something else to become obsessive-compulsive about.
 
She was teleported out into the middle of a desert once, and she came back, I'm sure she'll return.
 
Lamarr's not dead. She might be in the rocket, she might not be. I personally didn't trap her in there.
 
Hm... This is probably like that caseroll thing in HL1 some guys did blow it up, some didn't.
 
Think about it, Lamarr has been on many adventures, shes travelled through her local vent back in City 17, She has made it back to Kleiner's from Ravenholm, shes been (god knows where) at the end of HL2. This is just one of her latest and greatest :)

They should make a TV show, The Adventures Of Lamarr the headcrab, featuring special guest, Gnomey the Gnome.

Payload Anomaly

I'd hate to be the messenger of bad news, but if you remember the end of Episode 2, just as you step off the elevator to the Launch Control Room, you can hear Doctor Kleiner mention the launch stand scale reading a payload anomaly of eight and a half pounds. Here's a transcript:

D. Kleiner:
Wait a moment... I'm seeing a payload anomaly of approximately eight and a half pounds.

Dr. Magnusson:
Well... that's within tolerance, certainly not worth scuttling the...

That sounds just about right for a well fed Headcrab. ;(

I bet we will find a crashed rocket near were the helicopter lands and Lamarr will jump out.
 
Hey, you guys don't think that Alyx just gets a new, de-beaked headcrab every time someone(something?) kills Lamarr? Like how some parents buy new goldfish that look like the ones that just passed away for their kids, and swap it and pretend it's the old one. I can just see that...Alyx cursing Barney because she has to go out into the sewers or something and find another stupid headcrab because he killed it. :p

To me its just a f**king headcrab that deserves to die for making me go through route canal in the first place.
I wanna see it on Dr Kleiner's head and hes screaming around runnining in pain while Im playing with his mini teleporter

In Episode Three, you're walking down an icy slope. Suddenly, a headcrab jumps out at you! You smack it with the crowbar, but nothing happens. It's Lamarr!

Lamarr begins to relate to you the story of her heroic escape. She dived out of the rocket just as it was launching, and landed on a Combine Advisor which was watching the launch. After beating the Advisor to a pulp, she met up with a group of bikers, with whom she travelled to the Borealis, knowing that Gordon and Alyx would need her help. She has also married Tom Cruise and is set to star in her own movie coming out next year.

Unfortunately, she now has a drug addiction, which she tries to break throughout the episode.
 
Well wouldnt that be the game of the decade...
 
We'll be reunited with her when we visit Xen in HL3. Except now she'll be a Gonarch!
 
Wouldn't it be funny if she comes back but she's been injured, and the only way to keep her alive is to give her a host, so Kleiner re-beaks her and traps some unsuspecting rebel in a room with her and then walks around with a zombie on a leash all the time?

"Why?! We let you keep Mossman!"
 
Personally I don't think that would be funny. Besides, no matter how devoted Dr. K is to Lamarr I doubt he would sacrifice a human life (or at least a rebel) to provide a host for her.

The rocket was launched to close the portal, but they don't explain how it did it, so it's possible that she was teleported to some weird place, like the Combine Overworld, back to White Forest or even the Borealis... pick the one you like better :p
 
llamar rocks! i wish i had a pet headcrab. of course every one would think id just have "crabs". and that would just ruin my day.
 
Lamarr will probably come back but during her trip in space she regrew her beak and now she takes over Gordon ,but during the process he throws her off and he can talk!! sw33t. She had rainbow ultra teeth but kleiner debeaked her...AGAIN!
