Does this mean my STEAM account is disabled?

I think my STEAM account has been disabled....how can you tell for sure? It lets me sign on and everything, and lets me start up a game, but stops and then nothing happens after saying "preparing to load....." or somnethign like that in the little green box. It's like this with all my games, multiplayer and singleplayer except for TF2, which shows me the loading picture of the guy with the valve in his neck, then the STEAM logo screen, and then just dissapears...nothing. I've tried this on two different computers.....same thing.

I was thinking about potential reasons this could have happened......I tried to sell my account on Ebay, and STEAM erased the auction saying it was violating copyright laws.....which personally I think isn't fair, since I paid full price for the games, the electronic copy is NO different than the material copy. Plus, I've seen plenty of other auctions and sites selling the same thing, and STEAM does nothing to them, so I figured it was alright. Is that why they disabled my account? Or is it temporary like a warning? Or is it just a tech problem that I'm flipping out about?

I recieved no E-mail other than the one from ebay asying my auction was erased, and it said nothing about consequenses to my account.
Thanks for any and all help.

Selling the Steam account is illegal. It states in the terms that you are not allowed to sell on games that you have purchased on steam.

Okay, that answers part of the question......Personally I don't see WHY I shouldn't be allowed to sell the games that I payed for, but STEAM's laws are whatever they say they are I realize. So does anyone know if what I'm describing is a disabledaccount, because I wouldn't think they would let me even sign on if it was disabled. Also, I'm assuming STEAM couldn't care less whether I knew what I was doing was against th epolicy or not, but is there ANY way to appeal to them or something? I had a LOT of games......Thanks......

One more question.....is it even POSSIBLE that STEAM dissabled my account? The Ebay auction had no picture or refernce to my username, password, or account number/digits things. Or can they jsut trace my IP address and disable any accounts that are on the same computer that the auction came from? I doubt they'd got hrough that jsut to disable one account. Any help still appreciated.

What you've described is not a disabled account. You would not be able to log into your account if it were disabled.

I can't determine why your games would be doing this. Sounds like a technical problem. Do you have the latest drivers?

Thanks, you have no clue how glad I am it's not locked. I can understand why one of my comps wouldn't work right.....I just took out my 7900GS to sell for an 8800GT, and Im runnin' on MOBO grpahics for the next week, so that would make sense why it won't work....but my other computer....not sure. It's an old sony. I guess I'll just pop the 7900GS back in and try it. Thanks.

Wasn't very smart to admit to selling an account on Ebay, on a Valve hosted forum...

Valve are no more likely to be able to trace his account through this forum than they are through ebay.

Personally I don't see WHY I shouldn't be allowed to sell the games that I payed for, but STEAM's laws are whatever they say they are I realize.

You aren't allowed because they can't tell the difference between somebody asking to recover an account that has been hijacked and somebody trying to rip off other people by selling their account and then claiming its been hijacked.

When account is disabled you cant logon it.
